I'm quite old too (Though no where near as old as the orange bloke) and would probably struggle to pick up any papers I dropped! Then again, I'm no where near befuddled enough to state that I'd just signed a trade deal with the EU instead of the UK. 😵‍💫

The 'buzz' on that video is actually a continuous stream of 'clicks'. With an ad blocker and a pi-hole, there's almost complete silence for the same websites, and they're both very fast to load. Of course journalists need to be paid, but the amount of click bait is completely over the top now. :(

I have no idea how anyone can look at the site, or indeed, any similar sites, without some sort of ad blocker. Just for fun, last year, I used a bit of sw that 'clicks' every time a website sends something to a google server. (That's one 'click, not the buzz you hear!)

I think, as it stands, the BBC has it just about right (except the obvious recent Reform bias) Nearly equal 'complaints' from the left and the right about bias seem to indicate it's ok-ish. Public broadcasters need to be balanced. I'd write to my MP about it but he never seems to reply, apparently.😠

Nice to see they're getting to work on the important stuff. I'd hate to see what's going to happen with the really important stuff, care, youth services, housing etc... etc...

And at a "glitzy Scunthorpe do". Something you'd never expect to hear anywhere!

Also, It's nice to know that each starlink terminal has FORTY ONE (41) public keys installed that can allow anyone with the private key to actually logon to it! hackaday.com/2025/05/14/i...

Excellent! Could you use a pole with camera on top? I did a similar thing at Arthur's Stone in Herefordshire using a Sony E6300 on a 10m pole (although only using about 6 m of it! clearskyimaging.co.uk/blog-entry/a...

There was a photographer from the Telegraph taking pictures of the window, she apparently ran across the road with glee at the prospect, but later left looking p***ed off for some reason. There's a preview of her 'book' on google books which looks very strange. books.google.co.uk/books?id=aR-...

I once lived in a house with a view of the Wrekin, but never knew of this booklet. The image reminded me of the time I accidentally pressed the wrong button whilst trying to edit a photo of Brown Clee Hill (also in Shropshire) and it ended up looking like Armageddon! 😂

Re: Potholes. It would probably help if the people 'fixing' them didn't come from another part of the country every day. And, they were told to fix any other potholes within 'x' metres of the one they actually 'fix' There seem to be more holes than tarmac on many roads in the South!

Surely not! I assume it's not going to be the only time this'll happen?
