I generally dislike this kind of perspective and argument about semantics. But I very much liked this one. My own definition of domestication has been basically this for some time, but the authors lay it out better than I could have, with lots of relevant arguments about the nature of domestication.

Unique investigation of some errors in long read assemblers. In particular these remarkably chimeric contigs are 😱, if rare.... Improving long read assemblers is definitely the space to be in when it comes to the future of metagenomics, as short reads won't be part of it 😉

Phosphonate aus Waschmitteln werden in Kläranlagen u.a. zu Glyphosat umgewandelt. In welchem Umfang dies geschieht, ist noch nicht geklärt. Doch gemessen an der eingesetzten Menge an Waschmitteln im Vergleich zum Pflanzenschutzmittel dürfte das eine relevante Quelle für Glyphosat in Gewässern sein.
