His camp has showers…where have I heard that before?

I likely have saved the potatoes. Corn is a crap shoot. I righted every stalk, shored the soil, and ran a guide line down each row to keep them upright.
I fixed the greenhouse, but everything inside is lost, including your seeds.

I taught a class next to the class Ilan taught at Texas A&M and my brain would misfire “WYATT” when I’d hear him speak. I loved that movie and his character as a kid and I never once said a word to him. Just let him live the life he was living.

I lived less than three miles from Jack Murphy Stadium from 1975 through 1983. My entire childhood was Padres baseball whether at the stadium or listening on the radio and watching fireworks from our backyard. I am thankful for all the colorful road uniforms and helmets. Baseball was King back then.

Too cold.
I can replant in a few weeks once I clear my potatoes out of the garden. Beans will flower until autumn.

I did my second picking yesterday and got another 10 quarts. We are having a super heat wave this week, so I’m not confident about future pickings. I’ll probably end up pulling the vines next weekend and salvaging the beans.

Duly noted. Set completion makes us do unnatural things.

We’ve spent his whole life helping him overcome congenital issues and those issues may be his saving grace if the worst comes to bear.
I am furious and scared.

This is why I garden and learned how to can so I can “collect” canned veggies. My dream was to set build from 52 until I died, but finances ended that dream and my brain freaks out knowing I’ll NEVER complete sets.

Lord, I butchered this response.
I meant, if you don’t want Grandma’s shit, then you have an estate sale and price it to sell.
If it’s valuable, then find the correct collector venue to sell it in.

I’ve been building this set since 1991 and I’m still at 87% complete. It’s also the only set I’ve ever precision built. No shotgunning lots, just singles here and there.

I have a whole bunch of those from the first picture that I picked up when I bought out my local card shop when they closed.

I miss baseball. Like mid 80s baseball, where games moved at a rapid pace and didn’t require a clock. Where pitchers looked like your Dad. When there were no analytics, exit velocities, and ghost runners. When Extra Innings was exciting and not something that needed to end ASAP.

I don’t even follow baseball anymore and this got an “oof” out of me.
