Happy #Pride! We celebrate all refugees, including LGBTIQ+ refugees, and the vital contributions they make to communities everywhere. Today and every day, we stand in solidarity with LGBTIQ+ people forced to flee around the world.

This is a moving moment. This is a moment of joy. This is what it looks like when a refugee is no longer a refugee. High Commissioner Filippo Grandi witnessed the emotional return of refugees to their home in Syria.

The world is full of crises and conflict. But there is also hope. At the border of Syria and Lebanon, High Commissioner @filippograndi.unhcr.org saw a ray of hope. He saw refugees who are finally realizing a dream held by so many forced to flee: the dream of returning home.

In a time of instability and shrinking humanitarian aid, resettlement needs are expected to reach 2.5 million in 2026. Behind this number are real people who face real threats in the places where they have fled for safety. For them, resettlement is a lifeline. ℹ️ bit.ly/4nfaz0X
