I might read this but I cancelled my subscription to the Nazi Post

The only way I’d eat it is sweet pickled. You know there’s an Ontario microbrew that uses beets? Because I guess what’s always been missing from beer is to taste like literal dirt.

For me… the 1996 US Open Sampras vs. Agassi final is up there

Unrelated… an ebay listing for a GCG 8.5 copy of Crime Suspenstories 16 from the Gary Arlington collection. Beautiful glossy copy. It would be so cool to own a pedigree EC but I’ll stick w/ the boring ETFs in my TFSA 🙂 ebay.us/m/J4IO2H

Alt text: due process. noun. A constitutional right that ensures people are: • informed of why they've been arrested • provided with a chance to challenge any accusations • provided with a fair and impartial jury of their peers, if they go to trial These rules apply to everyone in the US ACLU

I’ve been pro for awhile… which is always unpopular because… nuclear! bad! (as if what we’re doing now isn’t worse). Most of that is based on the promise of Gen IV tho’ which admittedly is a ways off.

I guess it wasn’t possible for the leftover space to all be on the south side instead of in between two lanes of traffic?

The previous site was an over-engineered mess they couldn't edit. It's literally 7 basic text pages + a form. But a developer saw fit to install Beaver Builder plus all the Premium Super Mega Ultra paid add-ons. I've seen worse but never w/ that ratio of design complexity to build complexity.

Would be fun book to watch a Hitchcock movie or On The Waterfront or some other classics.

Of course I understand that just making dykes taller is much easier and cheaper than potentially having to buy out farms and communities and relocate. I don’t even know if that’s feasible TBH. But whenever possible (if possible), I’d love to see the restoration of wetlands be the preferred approach.

Ok but honestly the only upgrade I’m interested in is rewilding. Make ‘em as tall as you want but it’s a binary system setup to fail. Everything’s fine until it’s not. The minute the water crests, the hardened agricultural land behind it becomes a death trap. I’d like to see more focus on resilience

So much for all that tyrannical government / second amendment talk

Of these, the one that really drives me crazy is everyone going back to having “a bug” or “the flu” or “coming down w/ something” as if COVID never happened. When you get sick now, you test. Every time. You don’t know what you have unless you test. Repeatedly. And beyond the 4-5 day mark.
