Can I get a source on that? I want to believe, but reality is often disappointing these days.

I feel bad for precisely eight of the people mentioned here.

Looks like Zelensky had quite a few cards, actually. Has the Trump administration said 'thank you' yet?

And I'm absolutely sure that THIS administration is going to respect the judges decision and act accordingly. There is no chance they will simply pretend the ruling doesn't exist and continue as before. Surely.

I guess Chuck Schumer got what he wanted.

Jeffries is dumb and useless and a cuck and won't do shit. Look at his actions since Trump took office. Every time any challenge arises, his response is, "We are committed to doing something in the future," and then nothing happens. He's not gonna start a war with the Nazis at ICE right now.

On the subway, like a true New Yorker would and not in a limousine with a private chauffeur like a certain former governor!

I don't want to say this is good since obviously people are gonna die because of the cuts, but it's good that all the consequences of the administrations actions are made clear to the public. Him saying, "People will die because Trump makes my job impossible," is objectively correct and important!

Now it's 70 million, and that number is gonna keep shrinking unless somebody does something.

It's peak journalism like this which reminds me why I'm not subscribed to The New York Times.

The subtext here is, of course, to lay the groundwork to ignore the courts decision should they rule against tariffs. Then they could build on top of that until SCOTUS doesn't have any real power anymore.

You know, there was a time when America went all in on killing nazis. Do with that information what you want.

It's always fiscal responsibility, never mind the secret passage that would make it functionally impossible for a judge to issue and enforce an injunction against the government. If this is how you find out, it's true! Look it up!
comment in response to post
You're assuming the law actually matters anymore. Anything lower than the Supreme Court, they can just ignore, and if the Supreme Court rules against them, they'll pretend to follow the ruling but keep doing whatever they did anyway.

Police brutality hasn't exactly gone down now, has it? At least make sure Derek Chauvin stays in jail and is remembered as the murderer he is!

I don't trust it. I have zero confidence in the Senate to do anything good. Watch Schumer or Fetterman or some other Dem plant vote for it anyway or some shit.

I dream of a future where cities are criss-crossed by multi lane bycicle highways. No cars or pedestrians allowed and with connections to all major hubs. True and proper bycicle infrastructure, not as an afterthought, but an equal mode of transportation.

Does a program improve the lives of someone in the lower 99.9%? If the answer is yes, they are gonna cut it. They may call it DEI, fraud, radical left lunacy, doesn't matter. The real reason is that they hate you and want you to die. I'm not hyperbolic, that's just it.

The papacy would be so much better if the cardinals had to break it down on the dance floor to decide who becomes the next pope.

I'm not convinced, sorry. Too much has happened for me to accept yet another milktoast neoliberal Democrat who won't enact real meaningful change and will only fiddle with the numbers a bit. The Dems need to undergo a radical transformation, and Pete is not the guy for that.

I'm sorry, Libya?! Since when are we talking about sending people to Libya?! Last I heard, they were negotiating with Rwanda. Libya is a stray cough away from collapsing. Why would anyone even suggest this?
comment in response to post
Yeah, that was way too coherent to be said by Trump.
