I’m up for this threshold proposal but I say that when the threshold is reached, London gains independence and becomes a city state.

Today’s London Standard has a big report on how the capital “isn’t working”. It blames immigrants, especially Muslims, and the lack of “White British”. It asks “if there’s a minimum number of natives” at which London must give it up its status as the UK capital. www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/lond...

According to BloombergNEF, 1 in 4 cars sold globally in 2025 is going to be electric - and Chinese EV sales alone are about to surpass *total* car sales in the US. Hard to shake the feeling that the scale of this shift hasn’t really sunk in for EU policymakers.

This is not what the "Not for EU" label means. The "Not for EU" label is a requirement of the Windsor Framework to ensure products placed on the market in GB can also be placed on the market in Northern Ireland.

Leftists use of liberal and neoliberal has made the terms so devoid of meaning that a genuine debate of the merits/faults of neo/liberalism becomes impossible because it's no longer clear what's even debated.

It comes to something when a professor of fascism is getting out of the US because of Trump.

There are viral posts on here about how we shouldn’t judge American liberals who don’t protest enough their country turning fascist. Meanwhile this is happening.

So many alarm bells being rung in the Baltics and still people in Western Europe confidently proclaim that Russia wouldn't ever expand its war (the same war they said wouldn't happen in the first place)

This is why I don’t have sympathy. And it’s not just the media, the general public seems to be very meh about things like these. Why are there not tens of thousands in the street? Why is there so little civil disobedience? They send 700 marines and even Californians stopped their “riot”.

As much as I want to, I still don’t feel much sympathy for Americans. This was expected, this was predicted, this was announced as openly as possible by Trump himself. My worry is for the rest of the world now but Americans deserve their descent into fascism.

"Italy, Greece and Spain emerge as winners in bond market anxiety" - send this @financialtimes.com 10 years back in time and everyone in Europe would scratch their head at what the hell just happened.
