the reason I burnt out on godot was mostly because of scope creep + making too many of my own stupid plugins and tracking too many github ci doodads, so not entirely because of the engine itself. the ui stuff is horrendous though, that's genuinely just bad.

I kind of like it, but it needs to cook longer. Crashing/broken LSP for GDScript + janky live-coding support jumping across editor buffers and lines, forced tabs in GDScript source. The 3rd party libraries and plugins are all on the level of free libraries for unreal or even worse.
