Look at that press pack. I'm at the back somewhere. The snappers had their scrum first then retreated to the scran while the hacks had their go. I didn't ask any questions, I did a 'colour' bit.

Nothing says 'normal healthy democracy' like tanks on the street of the capital and major cities under curfew and stinking of tear gas.

Good, solid much needed Keynsian investment in infrastructure. A start to repair 14 years of decay. Not sexy or immediate though so they will need to work hard to sell it.

So back to where it was before but only after a bigly bonfire of credibility, trust and political capital.

But most politicians spend those formative years when they should be shooting them up with COD or GTA in boring meetings and mixing with dullards. They don't have a normal cultural journey.

He never got the credit he deserved from the 'knowlegeable' #Boro fans. He was slated as 'a fanny' for not running back 60 yards to put in a 30/70 tackle. Like getting Michaelangelo in to paint the ceiling then slagging him off for not sanding down the skirting boards.

What to expect next:
– Escalation framed as “restoring order”
– Mass arrests under vague pretexts
– Targeting of protest organisers and journalists
– Expansion of emergency powers
– Demonisation of dissent as “terrorism”

All these stories are about “the bookies’ favourite’ and it is a notoriously volatile and easily manipulated market that can swing wildly if someone puts £50 on.
