I put some cut up boards INTO the trash can and they didn't take it because it was "wood". Fucking Milwaukee trash. 😡

My local theater shows at most two trailers, one for whatever indie/throw back/fest they are having in the near future.

Good thing it stopped working by the time the WI Supreme Court election came around...
It also didn't transfer down ballot. Our senator got as many votes as Harris and won her election. The Republican candidate got a LOT less than trump.

I still have maps in my car. I should put that one I grabbed from the Virgin Islands in there in case I ever drive over.

This was drawn by someone named Knob. I don't know if they have an online presence, sorry. That's all the credit I can give at the moment. 😕

Depends on the size of the con, but I get sketches in my book between $20-60 at very small local cons, was told over $100 at C2E2 a few year ago. Usually just a headshot, mostly ink, some will toss in a bit of color. This is an example.

The house next to me is unoccupied (though they are (slowly) renovating). The only time I had any interaction with the owners is, after I shoveled the sidewalk, some guy pulled up and started yelling that he wasted his time driving over if I was gonna do it.
Haven't shoveled their sidewalk since.

The only WTFs in my house from the 1890's are not knowing what a few of the light switches are for.
But there is a lot of old work that needs to be updated. I really should redo my upstairs, but I think replacing the water shutoff valves should come first. At least the main one works.

I check it out every few hours. There was a time when we drove on a beach and into the lake and then up a trail? It's awesome!

The tire kept leaking air (would hold fine when riding, then be completely flat the next day), put a new tube in. Seems better, now.

So, you're just trying not to get caught doing something you shouldn't be?

Once went to see fireworks with the family and afterwards EVERYBODY was just walking back across Grant Park, one giant mass, street lights meaning nothing, drivers sitting at the intersections for forever.

Oh, yeah, definitely. It was just funny THAT what a bunch of nerds wanted to talk about. I don't follow sports at all, but I eat up everything Jon Bois puts out.

17776 was brought up in a talk with a comic creator when the subject of web comics and what they can do beyond print comics came up.

I love that that slide from their sales presentation includes a misspelling. It's almost like they didn't check their own work!

Also, how is "leave trans people alone and let them live their lives as they have for decades" not the "moderate" position here? Whenever people call for "moderating" on trans issues, they're calling for actively oppressing trans people, actively restricting trans lives.

Welp, I continue to read about sports I don't care about because the articles are full of interesting things about stats!

Katie Cook's Nothing Special plays nicely with the format, but I wouldn't want to read a print copy of it.
I have prints copies of webcomics and there's sometimes a part where they play with the infinite scroll, then have to reformat it for print. Or palaying with GIFs. (Octopus Pie comes to mind).
