"In the past two years, Israel has detonated 100,000 tonnes of bombs—the equivalent of eight Hiroshima nuclear attacks—on a tiny strip of land with a trapped civilian population of over two million."

People keep saying “Trump doesn’t understand” when it’s really “Trump doesn’t care.” He cares about money, power, and immunity from prosecution. That’s it. He’s not confused; he doesn’t care about the day to day of POTUS duties. Plutocrats and mobsters are VERY interested in doing that job for him.

Oh FFS. This is the WHOLE point - superannuation is not meant to be used as a wealth building vehicle or to pass down millions to your kids. It is meant to be savings for your retirement. That it IS being used to dodge tax while building wealth/inheritance is why reform is needed

“ 'Israel has the right to defend itself' is the mantra that both legitimises and normalises indiscriminate slaughter. Iran, it would appear, does not have quite the same right. "

91% of Australia’s top CEOs received some form of performance bonus last year, boosting pay well above their base salaries (already over $1m). "That is despite sluggish productivity, persistently high emissions and rising inequality," writes @richarddenniss.bsky.social. #auspol

Truly says a lot about the environment power has created, where calling for support of aid to go into Gaza (a basic human right and a war crime to deny) is seen as 'criticism' of Israel. That it was the first thing to come to Albanese's mind speaks volumes.

@senatorwong.bsky.social Does Iran have a right to defend itself from illegal attacks?

Memo to #abc730: Mike Pezzullo was sacked from the APS for breaching its Code of Conduct FOURTEEN TIMES. He left in disgrace. He was officially stripped of his Order of Australia. Why is he now being given access to your prestigious platform?

All the way with WW3.

None of this is normal www.thenewdaily.com.au/opinion/2025...

Journalists are taught a basic golden rule when researching a story: who, what, where, when, why and how. The "why" went missing in the reportage of 11 September, it has been missed again in the reporting of the genocide in Gaza. #auspol #msm

Not a single crate has been allowed through, despite the urgent warnings from the world’s humanitarian organisations and the screams of Palestinians. There is nothing normal about the silence in response

Here's me. "WMD 2.0 is so half-arsed, be embarrassed for people falling for it" With two excellent new cartoons from @fionakatauskas.bsky.social. Peace.

I doubt the ABC is fulfilling even 25% of its charter these days: no doco, education, natural history, or proper archives units, few/no opportunities for original comedy shows, especially written or hosted by women, a disapparated arts coverage, no science on TV, no international service ...

Photo of the Day. Credit to Palestinian photographer, Saeed Jaras. Posting this here because hardly any mainstream media outlets will publish it. An ongoing genocide silenced. #Gaza

Business groups often say that cutting the company tax rate will lead to more business investment and higher productivity. But Australia Institute research shows that cutting the company tax rate does NOTHING to boost business investment @grogsgamut.bsky.social #auspol

Israel is a client state of the US: I look at this map and I see American hegemony wanting to take over the strategic waterways of the Mediterranean, Red Sea, and Persian Gulf. It’s about the fucking oil. AGAIN. It’s a colonial project. AGAIN. It’s theft of resources, land, culture. AGAIN.

“Yesterday’s massacre in Khan Younis - where 59 people were killed whilst trying to get food for their families - is not a tragedy, it’s a war crime. As Jews, we cannot watch Palestinians starved, concentrated into zones to be shot with impunity, and not remember our own history."

Iran returned to the negotiations brokered by the IAEA to prevent such an attack. Its leadership knew full well that nothing would stop a scofflaw such as Israel from bombing Iran. And nothing did. #auspol #Israel #Iran #middleeast

"By allowing Israeli impunity for alleged international crimes in Gaza, the world has enabled Israel to feel untouchable and commit ever more severe violations."

Apologies for not posting this handy tip

"Iran doesn't have nukes. Israel does. Iran is a signatory to the NPT. Israel isn't. Israel has allowed IAEA inspectors into its country. Israel doesn't." But Israel is the victim? My video for Zeteo on how the media's coverage of this crisis is abysmal & ridiculously biased. zeteo.com/subscribe

Looking forward to every paper, pundit and politician reciting ad nauseum that Iran now 'has a right to defend itself'. Not holding my breath.

Most clear explanation of the Hannibal directive events that created so many victims on oct7

Israel guilty of ‘extermination’ in school, mosque attacks, amid campaign to wipe out Palestinian life, says the UN aje.io/i1opth

If you're speaking up about the American gestapo shooting a white Australian journalist, that's wonderful, but have you also noticed the 200 plus Palestinian journalists murdered with impunity by the same power bloc? It's been live-streamed for nearly two year now. 🤷‍♂️

How in the shit-flinging fuck do we live in a place where the journos are now all outraged one of them was shot (but unharmed) with a rubber bullet yesterday yet none have said a fucking word about the 200 of their number killed with REAL bullets in Palestine? #NewsCorpse

How many millionaires pay $0 tax in Aus, 2025??? 2022 - 60 2023 - 66 2024 - 102 This year's ATO tax stats should drop any day now. Australia is a low-tax country. It's not hard to raise more revenue and make Australia better. @australiainstitute.org.au

Australian Honours and King’s Birthday Honours should not go to anyone who is paid for the contribution they are recognised for. Politicians and celebrities already have wealth and fame, they do not need service recognition. It should be saved exclusively for community volunteers and heroes.

Let’s be clear: Israel, an occupier, has no authority under international law to board or divert the Madleen. This is a hijacking, plain and simple. A hijacking of a UK-registered ship, with multiple *European* citizens on board. Does the EU or UK government have anything to say? Anything??

The framing of this column is so absurd - trying to make a big deal about people paying a fricken small % of tax on massive earnings www.smh.com.au/politics/fed...

Australia exports more gas than Qatar. Qatar earns > $50b in royalties, yet Australia earn $1b. Labor/Liberals work for Woodside not Australians. @albomp.bsky.social must tax the polluting bastards 60%! #auspol

Superannuation was never meant to be a tax-evasion tool for the mega wealthy. Super is for retirement savings, not a low-tax vehicle for intergenerational wealth inheritance. Everyone is more than welcome to be massively wealthy, they just have to pay their fair share of tax! Simple!

Revealed today: NACC Commissioner Paul Brereton has attended 18 formal Defence functions as Major General since July 2023 - all while supposedly independently investigating Defence corruption. He even asked the Chief of Army for a favour to keep his rank. Conflict of interest?

*Killed amid gunfire* Not by it. Not by anyone in particular.
