I just want to reiterate that, due process issues aside, the US government has no authority - zip, zilch, zero - to send a person, citizen or otherwise, to be held in a foreign prison. There is literally nothing in US law or jurisprudence which gives the government that power. Let’s not forget that.

Alf Clausen died a couple of days ago. Even if you don’t know his name, you’ve probably heard his music. He may not have written the theme song (props to Danny Elfman for that), but he wrote virtually everything else you’ve heard in Springfield. Rest easy maestro, and thanks for the music. 🎶
