@profbambra.bsky.social excellent #r4today interview between you and Nick Robinson Hope our County Durham Reform council will listen and take heed

Within one hour of finishing a bizzare annual meeting Durham’s Reform Council had removed the Ukraine flag and replaced with St George’s

Our region is world class. That's our message as we launch our new investment prospectus. I’m working with businesses locally, nationally and internationally to create jobs and get growth in the North East. That means great jobs that pay a good wage for local people.

Exactly Leaders must be teachers and lead the country in the best evidence based direction.

How pathetic

My colleague @mgerver.bsky.social has created this open letter to Keir Starmer opposing the measures announced in last week's Immigration White Paper, on economic, political and moral grounds. Open to all academics/researchers to sign. molliegerver.weebly.com/petition.html

For all the blanket coverage it's getting today you wouldn't know that fishing contributes a grand total of 0.03% to the UK's economy, or that it is absolutely dwarfed by many other sectors, like the live music industry, which have been badly hit by Brexit but are rarely even mentioned

Michelle and I are thinking of the entire Biden family. Nobody has done more to find breakthrough treatments for cancer in all its forms than Joe, and I am certain he will fight this challenge with his trademark resolve and grace. We pray for a fast and full recovery.

I don’t think he’s on here but I would like to thank Nick Thomas-Symons for helping us to get a better deal for everyone in our deal with the #EU today

The word reform has a double meaning here in County Durham as I’m sure in other places infested with that brand

Exclusive: A survey of 1000s of health workers finds that the majority believe making rents more affordable would reduce the strain on NHS. Most also say that they often see children with health problems made worse by insecure housing: www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home...

When Roe v. Wade was overturned and abortion became illegal in Alabama, helping people get out of state came with the threat of jail time. The latest from @revealnews.org: www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

“Now the dust has settled after polling day, it’s clear that in County Durham, as with other parts of the country, we’re in a new political era with Reform UK councillors taking control of the county council.” Me, in today’s The Northern Echo. ⬇️ www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/opinion/2514...

The NE is leading the way in battery manufacturing. Building EVs is vital for our future. Our plans are being backed with a £1bn investment. That’s 1000 great jobs at AESC’s new plant and 2000 construction jobs. It was great to visit with Chancellor. This is what real opportunity looks like.

Saliva testing makes diagnostics cheaper faster and easier.

Yes indeed

Thank goodness

Yes. Please find a way of convincing our Reform run Council in County Durham of that

😂🤣😂🤣

Exactly

Hopeless and these clowns are in charge of our County

Hear hear 🎈

On the 80th anniversary of VE Day, we pay tribute to those who served in WWII and sacrificed so much for peace. Their victory was hard fought and we have the freedom we know and love because of their bravery. We remember them. We celebrate them. We commit to peace. #VEDay80

NEW: Minnesota’s graduation rate just reached the highest level on record. Two years ago, we made the single-largest investment in public schools in state history.   Today, we’re seeing the results.

Today, alongside DPAC, Scope and Rethink Mental Illness, we gave evidence at a Work and Pensions Select Committee on the impact of the proposed Green Paper cuts. We were unequivocal: these cuts will lead to more deaths. Watch clips of our evidence below 👇 youtu.be/wVW3Oud3zm0

Chicago is on to something.

Ooh interesting

NO apart from which I’m not sure if I’d get in after my social media posts

TANK vs TESLA "We've crushed fascism before and we'll crush it again" - WW2 veteran Ken, 98, in the tank

Luckily for him he’s not one of ours in Durham we’d have him exposed to his electorate

The ‘rock and roll politics’ phenomenon from @steverichards.bsky.social has grown and grown, Both his live shows and podcasts are such wonderful engaging interactive occasions and I would really recommend people join this movement

THREAD: As India launches strikes against Pakistan tonight, misinformation is rapidly spreading online. I'll fact-check viral falsehoods in this thread. This video, viewed over 660,000 times, shows Israeli air strikes on Gaza in October 2023. It's unrelated to Indian strikes tonight.

Ok .. if I was Starmer I would adopt PR, I would adopt Levenson 2 and I would rejoin the EU .
