Perhaps this is something unique to blindness & some autistic folks also missing out on that 'extra info' social from facial expressions or body language.
Amongst my friendships perhaps it's just that we both value transparent communication rather than social code gymnastics.

I suppose I just wanted to say how much easier I actually find conversations with many autistic pals. We can be direct, to the point and understand each other's needs quickly.
For example, I often ask autistic pals to help be a sighted guide at events because we both value efficient communication.
