Apparently it’s wrong for people to be on Bluesky because they’re missing the really important conversations on Xitter.

To give you a sense about the ideological drift being caused by Twitter, here's Noah Smith talking in 2021 about the account that would become "i/o" and "avidseries." And then here's a screenshot from today, where Noah Smith has constant friendly interactions with him.

Blows my mind that just a year after the brutally violent crackdowns on campus protests at Columbia and dozens of other universities, there are people out here today trying to say that protests must be done in the "correct way" to avoid being demonized by the press

The whole Mexican flags thing is a re-run of Norman Tebbit’s cricket test in the UK. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cricket... White tenth generation US liberals pushing this line should fuck off. You can love your new country without being forced at lib-point to forget you came from somewhere else.

If not for the Continent I wouldn’t even see this piece of news

Taking several steps back from the toilets / SC brouhaha... One thing it's clear that anti-trans campaigners didn't factor in was how the manifestation of their segregationist ideology will look to people who haven't drunk the koolaid. They'd got so high on their own supply... 1/

Analysis by @garymarcus.bsky.social of this paper, which does seem to show serious challenges to the idea that genAI in the form of of LLMs and LRMS can solve complex problems: garymarcus.substack.com/p/a-knockout...

So I'm trans and on a female ward in Wes Streeting's NHS and I'm being disallowed from going to the toilet any way other than via bed pan which means that I have the option of direct nursing assistance with my lower body and risk being shifted to a...

Right now, Dems are hiding in their offices, scrolling their phones fearfully, wondering "how are voters going to feel about the National Guard being deployed?" The right, meanwhile, is vigorously *attempting to shape* how voters feel about it, filling every medium with coordinated propaganda.
