People don’t seem to realize that civil disobedience works *because* of the beatings and the arrests. It’s not the easy way.

Martial law is not this.
Martial law is when the military takes control of law enforcement and government operations. Trump has not declared martial law. He will never declare martial law on a national scale. If he did it wouldn't even work due to logistics.

This is actually just protocol for "a riot", except this wasn't even a riot so the Guard was never activated.
