Advocating for transit (rural and urban), medium density housing and mixed urban use development. Worried about the climate change emergency.

I had no idea.

Not surprised. Almost every transit agency in the country seems to be stuck in a hamster wheel.

This would solve the left turn and the traffic heading from Confederation Mall to the Civic Centre and vice versa.

It might be practical but the politics behind it is a non-starter.

I had to repost it on Threads. :)

Bill bought a Roomba at a garage sale. As of late, both Bill and the cat observe the Roomba with sheer intensity.

One thing that surprised me with regards to the article was how positive it was? Regardless, the only way out of this is building housing and importantly for the city to streamline the process, so that housing in the CMHC catalogue does not even need the mini review. i.e. shovel ready.

I thought it was Saskatoon for a second.

Spain does it incredibly well. Plus way-finding in the country's major cities are so easy that put's Tokyo's Metro to shame.

#6 makes absolutely no sense. Oil and gas is never sustainable. It is almost like saying, I make $3,000 a month and have expenses of $4,000 and calling it sustainable.

As former MP John Baird is on the board of directors at CP. Help them transition to net zero. They make more money and the SaskParty can line their pockets as well. Plus they can line their pockets with donations from BHP and Nutrien. Once the CPR network expands it is easier to get Potash to market

These are some of the things I just do not understand. This affects farmers growing seasons as well. If lining your pockets and the pockets of your donors is the goal, there are other ways of doing it. One would be to work alongside CPR to double track and help it acquire assets as FMR MP John Baird

I don't mean to make light of the matter. But I wonder if the city has "figurative" gone on arrival vs a "literal" gone on arrival. i.e. the vehicle was a goner.

If you are a developer planning on building affordable rental units in the @cityofsaskatoon.bsky.social. The city has created a housing needs assessment which would need to be used in conjunction with CMHC's HAF in order to gain access to the funds. assets.cmhc-schl.gc.ca/sites/cmhc/p...

Saskatoon has signed up for the HAF (Housing accelerator fund) for this purpose. As a result the land use map on a few corridors have changed.

I would suggest claiming asylum in a foreign country.

We need this. This will help get more women into the workforce and reduce the chances of families getting burdened by an overwhelming daycare bill.
