Looking at it you are correct. Just make sure to look at the rules for deducting employer equivalent tax if you haven't already. It should lower your agi a fair bit and help recoup the loss. (As the self employment tax pays what is normally withheld as social security and medicare taxes on a W2)

I do tax preparation as a side thing. I don't do self employment usually because getting the documents from people is a chore and a half. But that doesn't sound quite right. If you aren't already id reccomend talking to a professional
