b. i think Visma is too data and analytics driven to just be casually throwing hands. my guess they know the boundaries they can push right now and are pushing them. c. the Tour is going to fucking rule this year.

a. Pogi probably in the middle of a massive training block, so i don't think there's too much to it. although, i've said before at some point we're all human and he's raced VERY hard so far this year.

also Mathieu may as well enjoy green now because that's going to be Wout's in June 😤
comment in response to post
he hasn't, otherwise he would have corrected me on the last name spelled incorrectly 😜

quote me on this - Matteo and Jonas are going to be a handful in July.
comment in response to post
Jonas ain't worried about 20" with the big stage 7 coming, or the bigger objectives in July. would love to say Tadej chucking the amount of time is a concern but something tells me next month today's result won't have really mattered.

i, for one, am very ok with a 17km time trial. this is generally compelling.
comment in response to post
Remco, not surprised. Jonas can always pull a good ITT and losing time to Remco won't be a problem Tadej dropping 20" to Jonas at the intermediate is pretty nuts.

do they overlap? i’m so out of the loop this summer.

If you are committed to nonviolence and peacefully protesting, that is fine. If you are not interested in either, that is fine. People are autonomous beings and make their decisions accordingly. You are responsible for yours. Trying to police other protestors’ behavior is just being a fucking cop.
comment in response to post
You’re at a protest and saw someone do something that you don’t approve of, that might get them in trouble with the cops? No you didn’t. Mind your business.

i said yo it actually only works if Ben Franklin is on the bill but we can give it a try

for real. my partner will still by a tote bag though if they have em. it's a rad venue, overlooking the city, and i do really like turnstile but guhhhh i'd probably even be less pissed if 25% went to the band and ticketmaster :/ that may be what really drives me nuts.
comment in response to post
if you're wondering, yes i bought them under EXTREME pressure from my partner. i'm sure it'll be a great show but give me a fuckin break

i don't really care about CWC at all but Espérance Sportive Tunis/Chelsea tickets are under $40 (with fees) which is right about my threshold for getting off the couch. only hold up now is that it's a 9:00pm kick off, which is my bedtime.

If you want to see how easily drivers go "hysterical" just drive the speed limit in a school zone.

We were "alarmist" and "unpatriotic" to protest the foreverwars and creation of DHS. We were "too idealistic" to demand higher wages and taxing rich people. We were "unrealistic" to demand accountability and alternatives to policing. And we were always "protesting wrong."

seems like something McNulty would do after Bunk split and he realized he had to get home

it's honestly so hard to read this as anything other than satire though it seems to completely true. what a weird fucking moment on this rock. utterly terrifying.

iirc he campaigned in dickies and flannel because he was a friend of labor, i didn't think much of it because it was nice to see a politician go against the norm. i think it was actually adding the suit that made me realize there's something wrong, then the deluge of shitty

he was relatively normal pre-stroke. as lt. gov. he was openly pro-LGBTQ+ (even hanging the flag out the PA capitol), cannabis, and, of course, labor. stroke was 2ish years ago and spent a few months in hospital/recovery and hasn't been the same since.
