OK. That's a view I haven't heard articulated before. Now that you explain it, I grasp its validity. I guess my difficulty here is that it clashes with the views of First Nations people I've heard of/been exposed to (mostly Treaty 6 areas, and West Coast BC).

I've never suggested we don't uphold the treaties. Ever. In a past life, I've actually advocated for us (white folk) to do a better job.

a) magic was gone for ~500 years. This is generally known.

b) deities are kinda graded in three categories. Greater, lesser, demi. The party will learn that deities can increase/decrease in power.
