Voice-controlled computer user. Please note, I glitch more often than my software. Made of sheer cussedness. Not a robot, more like a ghost.
Dxed with ME/CFS in 1999, 80% recovery next 10 years, then Long COVID since March 2020.

This is such a happy thing.
Also, just yesterday I modified some mechanical drawing pencils with foam pipe insulation, 1/4" inner diameter. Remarkably lightweight and comfy to grip. Also works on pens and gels and paintbrushes and etc.

Deepest condolences, Dr. Doyle. She was so fortunate to have you as her person. Wishing peace to your heart.

I'd love to be included in #CripCoop. I have a diverse set of skills and knowledge and love to help folks. Adaptive equipment, voice-controlled computer use, online research, gardening, general research and problem-solving are some areas of strength and interest.

Maverick, I have hand injuries and have a similar approach to finding adaptive tools. Would love to compare notes sometime!

Similar to this, I was given good and useful advice a while back -- try for 1% better and take that step. Rooting for you too!

This is of interest to me currently, so I looked it up on HUD (refers to ESAs in the singular, but..), local state guidelines discuss multiple ESAs and are based on HUD guidelines, and this article might be biased but was quite clear about the question: esadoctors.com/more-than-on...

All that said, top down site moderation is still a weak spot, and an area I sincerely hope the owner and developers keep making progress on. Lots of room for improvement.

One of the things I really like about this platform is the amount of user control; we can really customize what we see and interact with to a high degree by various methods. There's a more complete directory of Bluesky tools and apps here that worth browsing: blueskydirectory.com

Thank you for your list -- it has improved my experience of the site! Appreciate you clarifying your method, too.

You're welcome! We all had to learn/are still learning, and this social platform is still pretty new. Another user has written a pretty good overview of Bluesky here: mackuba.eu/2024/02/21/b...

It's a user-created list of (a type of) accounts. It's a bit un-intuitive, but if you subscribe to a moderation list, you can then mute or block the accounts in one fell swoop. This list happens to be one I use myself and I am comfortable recommending it.

There's also (at least one, there may be others) well-maintained moderation list for OnlyFans and related bots. No harm meant, but it's not what I'm here for and the list works pretty well: bsky.app/profile/mica...

Which isn't okay, but the part that makes it a lot worse is one-way masking isn't nearly as effective. Sure, I can mask, but that's only about 30% as safe as everyone masking.

I use pipe insulation to make pens and such grippable. A lot less expensive than the slip-on grips sold in adaptive catalogs, and more comfortable to use.

I have a lot of hand-specific assistive tools. A box chopper like this is a fantastic kitchen tool -- highly recommend.

I use an oil filter wrench to open jars. Great leverage, sometimes need to put a grippy thingy over the lid first.

Everyone should. Millions of immunocompromised and high risk folks are shut out of social and essential spaces for lack of two-way masking. And everyone is still at risk for serious, life-changing long-term consequences from COVID. Mask if you care about others -- and yourself.

And he and his whole team don't mask at public events. I was SO disappointed when his office sent out a newsletter full of bare face gatherings last month (and he's had COVID at least twice that I know of). No longer walking the talk.

So glad I saw your post. PEA was literally top of my list to research and start in the next week or two. Had a suspected blood clot last year, so steering well clear.

That looks scrumptious -- what a win!
I keep bags of frozen veggies in the freezer, ready to add to anything. "Potage" is an easy soup/stew concept; basically, use what you have on hand, add broth, sometime I top with croutons and cheese. Doesn't sound like much, but can be quite tasty and pretty.

Not sure if I'm being too literal. but the Clearsky app lets you look up your account; lists that you're part of will be one of the tabs on the right. And hello!
