That looks incredible! Will it survive the cats?

That's awesome! Congratulations! When my kids reached this milestone it was a big relief knowing they were going to make it. It's such a great feeling to see your kids succeed

I knew you were an author and have read a couple of your books, but wouldn't have sought you out to follow. I kept seeing your posts go by and they were interesting enough. That, combined with knowing who you are, was enough for me to push the follow button

I couldn't find anything definitive, but it may be because commonly used codes gave a different distribution or something similar. This link was interesting and has some really good informative comments: www.johndcook.com/blog/2017/02...

I only recently saw it visualized as a binary tree, which seems obvious now, but never occurred to me before. Less frequently used letters are deeper into the tree

It was a mix of sadness and joy when they stopped wanting me to read to them, but continued reading on their own. Both of mine are well into adulthood and have never lost their love of reading

If I remember right I just desaturated mine, but I’m no artist and I don’t know if that’s “correct” at all. It seemed to line up well enough with other examples i looked at

This was my take too. Joel’s is a failed character arch. He failed the test set before him and paid the price for it. I don’t see the either of the games trying to justify the violence at all, but condemning it

Thanks for the post. Is there an application you have in mind for doing the die rolls in binary? Or just an exercise? And good intro :)

My pre-read solution was 3D8 mod 6, but I failed to think about the curve you get when summing dice, so quite wrong. I think my brain was going for some power of 2 divisible by 6, but there isn’t one. I also didn’t read the “with 3 coins” part very well 😂

In the game Planet of Lana, your little monkey cat sidekick makes this little grunting sound when it jumps. It’s the cutest thing ever m.youtube.com/shorts/foS_6...
