My twins recently been 'studying' Pokémon & they're in the back of the car right now saying "let's be Squirtle!" & then blowing raspberries I suggested if they could be Jigglypuff & sing That lasted about a minute before they said "let's go back to being Squirtle!" *thbbbbbbbt!* *thbbbbbbbt!*

My wife & I were talking about how one of their siblings is a cat person & the other a dog person She asks what kind she is— thinking for a moment, we realized she's a cockroach person XD We do have two dogs but she also raises Madagascar hissing cockroaches in her classroom & it fits too well

I know there's physiological explanations why kids learn languages faster than adults but being 'fearless' must be a factor After my 5yr olds asked to watch an ABC ASL story they wanted to sign a story too. They proceeded to try & sign their own story (w/ some help) Kid-confidence is something else

My wife teaches here in California (a Catholic private school) & I know a few months ago they'd gone over what to do if ICE tries to enter the school It's one thing to prepare for the scenario but it's another actually seeing it happen. Honestly freaks me out, which I think is the correct reaction
