I used to be a student of literature, a lawyer, a real estate developer. Now I grow grapes.
I haven’t shut off DMs but don’t expect an answer.

Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico are pretty blue and Arizona is purple. Make Utah a quasi-independent protectorate, like Greenland and carve out the entire southwest

The Lions played the faculty team from my high school. I kept time. The Lions were down one with the ball and set up for a dunk to win. The faculty team called time out illegally to let the Lions dunk.
The Lions dunked and with seconds left the shop teacher threw in a prayer for the faculty to win.

67 votes in the Senate would be required to convict. Maybe we should stick to a reality-based strategy?

If Ireland would only take me back, I would gladly return to land my great-great grandfather came from. But it seems Ireland won’t take me and I’d prefer not to be sent to South Sudan.

It wasn’t an entirely serious answer, if you couldn’t tell, but the real point is that it’s not nearly as easy to immigrate to Canada as many of us USians think.

Easy just be young, highly-skilled in a position in high demand, and fluent in both English and French. Or marry a Canadian, whichever is easier.

My life is Green Acres. I retired from practicing law and running a nonprofit housing corporation to plant a vineyard. It turns out I am about as good a farmer as Eddie Albert.

Public opinion is in favor of:
- lowering taxes
- increasing benefits
- reducing the deficit
Therefore, the most truly democratic policy is to stop teaching arithmetic in school.

To be direct, this is breathtakingly stupid. “To take the gloves off” means to abandon the rules, not to protect them. Perhaps this is now necessary, perhaps not, but you can’t have it both ways.

More people will always believe a comfortable lie than the difficult truth. Our gatekeepers, upon whom Democracy depends, the Congress, the justice system and the press, failed us.

But the IRA only improved a minority of people’s lives. If it could have been passed, sending everybody a $500 check signed by Joe Biden might have done the trick. No matter how irresponsible.

Not possible. The Regime controls the making, interpretation, and enforcement of the law. There is nothing within the Rule of Law that the Democrats can do to preserve it.

When I started practicing in the 80s, a certain judge kept a list of his contributors in his desk drawer. When you sought a temporary restraining order, he went back to his desk, checked his list and made his decision. It’s going to be like that but with bigger numbers.
