This feels so familiar

IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME NOT HIM!

Very good point, fully concede that he used force because his life was threatened, but him being there in the first place with the AR to me is more than just unwise but intentially stoking tensions. To me, that implies some amount of intent. But again, this is just my perspective.

Agreed. He was acquitted of all charges. Not what I'm arguing nessisary. Personally disagree with the assessment of that case and think he was a kid larping as an police officer and is now profiting on putting protesters in the ground. I find that deplorable. You can take that however you like.

Whatever man, go buy a letterman and make a Rittenhouse fan club lol
comment in response to post
Look, we can put all the asterisks around the word murder you want, but someone who was not an officer took the law into his own hands and killed two and wounded another. I'd call that murder but whatever man.

These two things are not inherently contradictory. I don't think it's right for him to have been attacked and I don't think him playing dress up militia member and capping a civ is good. I think it's even worse that mainstream right wing media lords him as a hero for this.
comment in response to post
Never said it was pre planned. He was not an officer, nor does he have any jurisdiction to watch over anything but his personal property. Not saying he deserved to be attacked but even in the most charitable light to some degree, he knew what he was doing.

I agree with one of the two things you just said. He went to larp as a militant in a town 20 miles from Kenosha during the hight of civil unrest. Found out how stupid that was and killed a man. Now he's venerated at CPAC.

Just tweeting about how putting people in concentration camps gives him a hard on. Can't believe this is real life.
comment in response to post
Unfortunately, we live in a system now where if you have enough money or influence, the rule of law no longer applies to you. Right-wing murders are propped up as heros (ex: kyle rittenhouse). The only reason he's being made An example of is cause it was a CEO.

Makes since. I feel like we're seeing the games as a service model wither in real time. Tbh I'm glad this trend is dying. I just don't like that the devs are the ones paying the price.
comment in response to post
Do you think this is the result of c suite greed? At this point, gaming has never been more universally adopted into mainstream culture. I couldn't imagine the issue stems from a lack of demand.

Remember when Republicans said this was fear mongering?

1000% agree. With the emphasis on community plug-ins and actual common sense revenue split when it comes to selling it I think there has never been a better program for indies.

Thanks for the easy block king.

This is awesome! Love to see what people can create using Godot.

Genuinely what is the intended goal of these tariffs? This doesn't even make sense.

Legitimately, I'm curious your thoughts on how long this will be sustainable. 500 billion on AI, getting into trade wars, already almost a million for one round of deportation. I just get the feeling we're heading towards a Liz Truss situation.
comment in response to post
I know the focus is on the inhuman nature of this (and rightfully so) but so far at least on paper in a few days trump has already spent billions of dollars. This kind of spending is not sustainable.

Never be silenced about what you know to be right and assist where needed. Short of that not much till midterms.

Not going to join the bandwagon here, but I think you miss the point. Man's just saying take care of your mental because it's day one and shits already getting fucked. Don't think that's a crazy thing to say given the circumstances.

I've recently been building out a 2D RPG idea using godot and it's fantastic once you get the hang of using signals. Plus lots of quality community plug-ins (dialogic is a fantastic example). Not to mention, no revenue split when you publish is a nice plus.

3D or 2D? Godot is great for 2D games but unreal has always been the best at 3D in my opinion.

Pretty exclusively a youtube watcher and used to follow on Twitter before I couldn't stand being on the platform anymore.

David I just woke up. What could they have possibly done this time.

All I'll say is regardless of if he did or not republicans were going to hammer dems on something. The issue here is this is the first time dems actually wielded the power they have and it was to just protect themselves. Not on any real issues dems cared about.

One takes away rights the other toys with the idea of doing anything to protect said rights. Two sides of a shitty coin.

The biggest argument I've seen from the right regarding people leaving Twitter boils down to "whah! Please come back to Twitter so me and my blue check mark friends can bully you 😢." Glad the discussion is moving off a platform that has given up on moderation.

Legitimately, it feels like old Twitter. Decent moderation, more creatives, better vibes.

People are seeing bluesky bringing in lots of new eyes. It's only natural for scamers to try to exploit that.

Man I feel that. I've dodged like 3 spoilers today already on Instagram.

Genuinely, I just like social media for the artists and creators. I don't care what some rich dipshit has to say about the economy or the state of politics. Death to dumb letter app.
