lol I am a hilariously slow, hilariously zen driver most of the time. Try it! Just… don’t let it get to you

This also applies to any context involving other people, especially being in the car. There is absolutely no reason to get mad at the person in front of you for going too slow or the person behind for tailing. Get yourself out of the way, move on, and try to empathize with their clearly bad day

I think the answer can be found in the NYT article about his departure which describes him running into trouble by being incurious about the things he was trying to shut down. He assumed he could slash and burn, but because he didn’t care he didn’t gain anything from it and eventually people noticed

Because NFL players are real fuckin fast and used to playing real fuckin fast. Ask any college player in their first year in the NFL who they think would win and I bet 99/100 say it’s the pros for this reason alone

They’ll get off too easy again, but that’s a terrible reason to not do it

Yeah, this is horseshit. I’ve had type 2 diabetes since I was 19. My wife is an incredible cook and I’ve learned enough from her to hold my own. We’re between insurance and just this weekend not taking my meds resulted in an episode where my blood sugar spiked as I literally ate nothing for 48 hours

The Wirecutter (less essential than it used to be, but still a good product for now), The Athletic, and though you mentioned recipes, their cooking platform is probably the single biggest reason my wife and I still subscribe. Don’t feel good about it though

It never fucking mattered because of course it didn’t. See also: the kowtowing by mainstream media, other tech companies. None of it means shit to a selfish, transactional moron. Same as it ever was.

Hate in particular requires so much energy though. Maybe some people deserve that devotion of energy, but even some of the most objectionable people just don’t deserve our time and effort

There’s nothing moral about any of this and I don’t know why you are insisting on bringing morality into it.

Sometimes we’re all tired and we do order! It’s fine! But it’s also more expensive. Period.
comment in response to

Not that justifies ordering food with any regularity. Again, my argument is about cost and Taylor brought the labor of cooking into it. The labor and time associated with preparing and cooking food does not outstrip the additional cost of ordering it. That’s it. It’s not rocket science.

No, currently I’m trying to find a job and raise my kid which together occupy most of my time. You’re trying to find a gotcha that doesn’t exist bro
