I left Hastings as soon as I could. But it always leaves me with a weird feeling that it now has contemporary art galleries, famous authors writing about it, people I know and inauthentic TV people I've worked with, who have since gone down there and somehow have sought to refine it...

I've just finished reading Touching The Void. What an incredible read. I couldn't put it down. I've climbed huge mountains, crawled down them, and I've been through numerous near deaths. I'm exhausted from it. I think it's a book that will stay with me for the rest of my life!
