Alf Clausen, the veteran composer with two Emmy wins and 30 nominations whose whimsical scores brightened such television series as The Simpsons, Moonlighting and, purely coincidentally, ALF, has died. He was 84.

Credit where credit is due The Democrats banished Stephen Miller to the shadow realm with this tweet. This is a nuclear level, all-timer brand post.

Standing up for the silent majority of voters who celebrate and treasure their right as Americans to owe $11,000 for getting rushed to the hospital on one of the worst days of their lives. It's called "being moderate" and it's how you win elections.

One of the nice things about Bluesky is I never see anything about Glenn Greenwald. Until tonight.

*checking my 'things definitely not to google today' list* 1) 'glenn greenwald'

Imagine thinking a Trump promise to you was worth anything at all

I didn't even know Dave Matthews Band had a helicopter

it's cool that we managed to put machines on mars that can take and send pictures and i support space exploration as a public endeavor and public good, but holy fuck everything we've seen out there is so much uglier and less cool than our own planet

good news everyone, climate change is continuing to worsen unabated and fascism has completely broken containment but at least 2025 comes with a *checks notes* ... Glenn Greenwald sex tape.

To be clear: I'd take Justice Jeanine Pirro for the next 3 years over Justice James Ho for the next 30, and if you think I'm wrong it's only because you have no fucking clue how dangerous James Ho is going to be.

Honestly don't like the TACO critique of Trump. Reads too much like "a real leader would do all of the tariffs and deportation he promised" rather than taking a policy stance against him/for something. Please don't make it a thing. Puts the ball in fascists' court.

Did this months ago and it's a gamechanger.

At 9:41 am?

Republicans are predictably screaming about judicial overreach again, and it cannot be emphasized enough: if they think tariffs are so important and they have a popular mandate for them, there is nothing stopping them from passing them in Congress.

Replace transgender rights with women, Black people, Jews. Then realize why you should delete this.

There's something surreal about watching this Conservative MP speak in the House about how "words matter" knowing the son he raised (Keean Bexte) called me a filthy whore last week lmao

Guy in the bathroom at work was definitely singing "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" to himself in the stall.

Most political commentators are too polite to say this, but Trump won because of his appeal to the most important voting bloc: morons. If the Democrats want to win again the answer isn’t becoming more left or more right, it’s coming up with dumb policies that morons like

The "Money Laundering is Praxis" discourse reminded me of the Ghorman Resistance in Andor where they were so oblivious to what effective resistance is that one of the first things they did was recruit an Imperial mole to feed them misinformation. (Spoilers)

Posting on the internet

If you really think you’re living under a dangerously authoritarian regime run by a mad man (which I believe we are), then you really should start acting like it And like Step 1 of that is “do not post about doing crimes the regime would love to publicly prosecute leftists for on social media.”
