The climax track, "Magic at Midnight in Mel's Diner"... it's what would happen if we combined "Don't Stop Believing" and "Piano Man", Let Bowie write it, and Mercury perform and produce it.

Every single track could *easily* be the best track on a 'good' album, but the absolute totality of majesty that is this album I find myself unable to adequately describe as anything other than truly great.

Sigh. I have more-
I didn't even *begin* to give the lyrics enough credit- again, there's something Steinman-like to them- they have a poetic beauty and-at times- absurdity that draw the listener in while each melodic note surrounds them, pulling them deeper and deeper into the experience

First pass final notes on @lukespiller.bsky.social's Solo debut:
-Lyrically and tonally captures the angst of love in a Steinman like manner
-Vocal Gravitas of Shirley Bassey, with equivalently masterful use of orchestra
-Flair and production of Mercury we come to expect from Luke
-Rock and Roll.

The final track- "Angel Like You" - is in itself a masterpiece, the fact that it is but a single part of this larger work of art is simply a gift.
If @lukespiller.bsky.social wasn't being tapped do a Bond theme before, he is, now. This must be one of the best solo- debut's in Rock history.-

More on @lukespiller.bsky.social's "Love Will Probably Kill Me Before Cigarettes and Wine"
Each track (so far) plays like a full production while also being seamlessly woven into the tapestry of the greater album. Not just in theme, but in sound. The literal through notes bouncing from each track-
