Well done on the atmospheric perspective parts. That must have been tricky

I don't even want to know anything about musicians I like. Too afraid of finding out something terrible that will ruin the music.

In that case, a decent graphic designer will be your best bet for help laying out the design and then you can take the file to a regular print shop which will be much more affordable. 🙂

Also quantity of course matters in the production method you will want to go with.

It depends on how authentic you want it to look. A graphic designer can mimic the look and print it digitally. For the most authentic, a letterpress studio could do the printing where they use photo-polymer plates and a printing press. They will also be knowledgeable about paper types.

AI art 😞

I see so many substacks linked I want read and then feel crushed seeing AI in the masthead. I'm not reading your legal essay if you throw some desecration of studio Ghibli on there to help make your point.

Sad to see what it has become. They want to tear it down of course but I think it would be best as ruins. We need more ruins in this country

Did Ginsburg write that?

I just completed the drawing for a new lithograph, something I haven't done in about 10 years. I'm excited to print it up soon.

A lot of gold ink is pretty terrible, partly because the grind isn't great. If you try either Cranfield's or Charbonnel, you will probably have the better results.

I see this in links to substacks which I may want to read and just refuse to follow them. It's pretty depressing to see how common it has become

It may be in related to the American Physical Society and the 100 year anniversary of the discovery of quantum mechanics. There are some international events/conferences going on about it.

How many people will die until enough people snap out of it and realize what the current bloodbath in the Federal sector is doing? Will there ever be wake-up call? Will the evidence be hidden from the public? Will they even be allowed to know our friends and families are dying in silence?

because the VA was understaffed and numerous nurses, technicians and support staff have either been laid off or accepted the "Fork in the road" letter and resigned. His scheduled treatment dates are al TBD now. This is what Trump and Elon and the republican party are doing to our people. 3/

visits he needs to attend for scans, bloodwork and who knows what. After returning from the VA in San Antonio, he needs to wear a specialized monitor for a bit. I asked when he would need to have it removed and he told me it should be 2 weeks but that the Dr didn't know if that was possible... 2/

I've recently seen Waymo cars driving around by themselves here in Austin and it's creepy as hell to see one of those accelerating on our busted ass roads.

They last a lot longer if used on a smoother paper like either bristol board or any other hot press paper. I like them more for sketching than inking though.

That sucks balls, dude. Are you able to draw at least?

Thanks for sharing this. This thread is so cool that I thought it had to be bullshit. So I looked you up and realized I'd already read some of your books!

As much as I appreciate making digital art, calibrating color for monitors never seems right and despite my best efforts, I always find it challenging when colors become more or less saturated on other monitors. Sometimes, it even seems the browsers are innacurate.

Wow! I used to work for a bookstore and one year my comic obsessed boss made an enormous order from Diamond. From sorting that order, I rediscovered the medium, something I only had a weak interest in as a kid. Until then, I didn't know comic were allowed to be well written.

You've chosen some really wonderful colors to bring these to life. Very subtle 🎨

I wish there were a map that showed the surrounding polities as well. I have only a vague notion of what was in the European north during this time span
