For example, did you know cops can carry their guns anywhere, even on commercial flights? They can carry even in states where it isn't allowed (states with gun regs left) They can shoot people while off-duty and still get QI. le.nra.org/understandin...

Police get preference in adoptions, housing, schools, gun licensing, family court. They are getting financial rewards us mortals do not receive. There is *less* accountability. The proliferation of "less lethal" munitions, imho, has been a disaster. Police used them at every opportunity.

Unless Synology's doing something extra weird here, that should be the one below the C button with the blue LED; I've got mine set to only power off from an OS command in case I accidentally bump it since it isn't quite as recessed on my DS220j

The C button (by default, at least) copies the contents of a USB storage device plugged into the port above it to the NAS

fucking incredible since basic-ass OCR especially for standardized text output like dot-matrix receipt printers and the most common thermal-print fonts has been a solved problem for at least a decade

Town of Castle Rock v. Gonzales established that police basically do not have any actual obligation to perform the duties for which they are paid
