Ok, but surely being a demon is a useful resume skill.

Well, see? Sounds about perfect.

Seems about right to me. Do you have a cross-referencing system yet?

I went back and got a better photo.

They have no idea what post-industrial masculinity is, and rather than try to construct a positive model, they just throw whatever shit they can at the wall and hope other people believe the hype. It's super masculine to deprive yourself of soup, skip wiping, and get eye infections, apparently.

I tested this out myself and it WORKS. With this one, simple trick, a week later I received an artisanal image.

Dorian is clearly just working on actualizing himself into existence.

I hate that this is a concern you have to have. Good luck navigating it.

I have a piercing headache now from trying to understand this guy's reality.

The vacation thing also really got me. That's a guy who doesn't actually care about building memories with his family; he just likes the status of being able to say "Oh yes, we jetted off to England this summer because my wife wanted to go."

So they've brought back Clippy but... worse.

But you see, we must immediately adopt all new things people sell to us, which is why NFTs are totally super popular now and not a half forgotten, embarrassing fad people lost money on.

We've really built a society where people are expected to sacrifice their health and wellbeing to meet some of their needs.

I really have to wonder who their audience for this is, because it isn't people who love audiobooks. I don't know any who don't have strong narration aesthetic preferences.

And extremely helpful, too

I'm not sure "vaguely" is the right word... I'm also not sure I'm going to sleep well tonight.

Cavatelli VI. Not quite Pizzaballa quality but I'm neither Italian nor Catholic so I'll take it.

Look, this bothers me less than almost anything else going on right now. We already know where they stand on yachts.

Right? I'm guessing it has something to do with the sudden popularity of rental kilns. But I don't know for sure!

One thing that's been really interesting to me is that a whole cohort of artists who I first encountered in 2D media have taken up pottery.

Pssh. Sure, I'm like knee-high on them but that just makes me less appetizing! A clown sees me and calculates how long they can fill a meat freezer with convenient meal-sized portions.

By far the least frightening of the three, but I'd also squeal "kitty!" if I crossed baths with a tiger in the wild, which is why I live in a city.

I'm glad that we're just acknowledging that both clowns and dolls are obviously predators.

Look, it just isn't reasonable to expect people to buy a quality wickerman every year. Look at the cost of housing! Where am I supposed to put it? The village green was booked by some nimby who can afford the deposit, and he says there are "community standards" about what we can add to the bonfire.

Right? LLMs aren't search engines! Who knows how many authors who could have made great contributions won't be part of panels this year because of some predictive text?
comment in response to post
I was really looking forward to this. World Con! In my backyard! But this was a choice that ignores both how authors feel about the exploitative LLM models that have flooded the market AND what LLMs are actually proficient at.

Wow, he can even ruin other people's casinos, not just his own.

Which is obviously not the case here with her $2 profit.

The judgement is what is wild here. Statutory damages for copyright claims start at something like $200 and cap at $150k in cases where it's proven that the defendant willfully infringed. You expect to see that reserved in cases where people are actually undercutting the copyright holder's profits.
