The poor squids all look so surprised

Didn't know. Doesn't surprise me.

Was this DC? Wasn't he banned from entering the city?

Yes, they're always whispering to me. Sometimes their advice is even worth listening to.

My then 12 yr old son used to linger outside in the hall while I read stories to my 5 yo. He wanted to listen but thought he was too old. I never said a word, just let him listen.

Day 2: “Go 'way, bee. Go 'way." Arista wiped her pale forehead where the bee bumped and stared as wings darted in at her face

I'm on the polishing phase of my middle grade fantasy. Up to the looking for beta readers stage.

I don't have anything in your inbox, but I thank you for telling those who do.

Put it aside for a day. Let the idea percolate. It's like forcing yourself to remember that tiny fact you know you know that slips away when you try to focus on it. It isn't until you stop forcing the fact to come out that it shows up.

A well written outlier can change things up tho. If things don't change, they stagnate. Within reason. Not a good idea to write a MG book of 100k words.

You were thinking about a lot of stuff!

I try to hang out with friends or family to recharge. I rarely talk about my books, so I have to change my mindset and remember there are other interesting things to talk and think about. Some might even end up in the book.

Thank you for answering. I want to send the file, but I'm concerned about the security? Are there ways to secure a Word file so no one can just take the book?

We call people like that Sore Losers. Emphasis on the LOSER part.

I thought I heard boos when the song America [not the anthem itself] was being sung and Felon47 was standing saluting. Why the fuk he was saluting is known only to his demented dried up brain. Please tell me it wasn't wishful thinking...

When Biden appointed all those federal judges in the closing months of his administration, I didn't realize the repercussions. Now Felon47 is reaping what President Biden sowed.

That's a compliment. That lady is my favorite character in that movie.

Saw something on FB where at least some of the Canadian provinces are going to set tariffs only on red states. Hope it isn't a rumor but wonder how that would play out.
comment in response to post
Did Canada promise to set their tariffs on red states? That would really drive home the lesson to the idiots responsible.

With FOTUS's record of ducking out of payments, don't sign anything until the check clears.

Which ones?

When I was a kid, my mom would get RD abridged books. When I was bored, I'd read them. A few years later, I picked up a book that looked vaguely familiar and read it. Had a feeling of deja vu. Realized I'd read the abridged but they were NOTHING alike. RD had torn it apart. Abridged books stink.

I'd like to add that a good book makes you want to read it when you are busy doing other stuff. If it makes you think, it's good.

I'd be happy to "tow the line" if it means towing the trump shitship to the deepest ocean and blowing a huge hole below the waterline.

It's only 730 days until the 2026 midterms. If Felon47 lasts that long, he will lose the Congress, Then we can talk impeachment.

True. I don't know when they were introduced to the island but they grow here just fine.

One of the largest growers of macadamia nuts in the US is right down the road from me. We always lose cell service passing them!

Best to wait for the doc you know can help. Knowing that, maybe hanging on will be easier.

I live where Kona coffee in Hawaii is grown; my son works for a coffee farm. We can't afford Kona coffee. It all gets shipped out.

They are cute and I welcome them to my home because they eat bugs. They will poop everywhere tho, and don't leave anything sweet out.

Got a prescription denied because blood tests showed it was working. Yeah, the med worked so now they say, since the levels are good, I don't need it.
comment in response to post
That sounds great. I'll work on that.

Thank you for answering. Darn about the moodboards! I was having fun making them. Now to turn polishing the pitch for the one book I plan on pitching.
comment in response to post
Moodboards acceptable? How many pitches can we make in the one day? I live in Hawaii so time zones factor into my schedule; what time is the event? Looking forward to this. New MG fantasy coming up...
comment in response to post
Well, since my attendance is spotty at best, I figured I just missed the ones I hadn't seen for a while. Welcome back.
