😳😮😲. As the Joe Turns

In just five days, Trump’s administration indicted a Democratic member of Congress for engaging in oversight, threatened to arrest a Democratic governor for governing in accord with his mandate, and handcuffed a Democratic senator for asking a question at a press event. Join tomorrow’s protest!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I want to take a moment to share an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence's grievances against King George III. Sound familiar?

Sen. Alex Padilla reacts to being forcibly removed from DHS Sec. Kristi Noem’s briefing in Los Angeles in an interview with NBC News’ Jacob Soboroff.

MAGA rioters got pardons; LA protestors got Marines, tanks, and charges.

Newsom: "Speaker Johnson -- his eloquence was elevated when he called to 'tar and feather' the governor of California. Very religious man. I guess that's the spirit. The word of the Lord."

This is chilling to watch and utterly unacceptable in the United States of America. As a former Senator, I’m calling on all current members to speak out on behalf of Sen. Padilla and defend him and the Senate against these outrageous attacks.

Kristi Noem must resign. She has deported a four year old with cancer, detained a U.S. marshal, and arrested two members of Congress. She’s lost the confidence of the American people. ICE must stop terrorizing our communities.

A group of us have arrived on the Senate floor to challenge our colleagues - on both sides of the aside - to rise to this moment and jointly condemn what has happened to Sen. Padilla. Yes we still need to collect the full facts, but this appears to be a defining moment for the country.

Speaker Mike Johnson just called on the Senate to censure...Sen. Alex Padilla. You read that right. The American Fascist Party at work.

I'm on my way to the Senate floor to talk about the assault on my colleague, Senator Alex Padilla. This is a horrifying moment in our nation’s history.

SCHATZ: "This is the stuff of dictatorships. He identified himself. That should be enough."
