Reminder that even this complete and utter scumbag deserves due process to prove he is a total scumbag.

Even the upfront cost of games is relatively low compared to many activities, but then when you average it out to cost per hour, it's one of the cheapest forms of entertainment out there. So silly!

Do people who owned Zunes actually hate on them? I had one and the computer software was so-so, but I really liked the device itself. It was much cheaper than an iPod and way more capacity.

I love that birds are like "one sec, imma blow up to twice my size because that's how I dance" 😂

Who's the "we" in that sentence?

True, but even putting "baseless" in the headline is huge forward progress...

"Constitutional Originalism" which magically turned out to be the most modern right-wing extremist interpretation every single time. Wild stuff.

Like, it's just deeply uncomfortable to watch them interact with people. Remember that donut shop stunt JD tried? Remember DeSantis on the campaign trail? Yuck, makes my skin crawl just remembering it.

This is an important point about the post-Trump era assuming we make it. Who's going to be Trump 2.0? Ramaswamy? DeSantis? Kari Lake? JD Vance? These are all deeply unlikable people lacking whatever weird charisma draws people to Trump. I don't use this term lightly, but they are all so cringe.

I think I injured myself just watching this video 😱 - so impressive

As stated, I agree on those points but we can communicate those points without casually referencing eugenics.
comment in response to

It's incredibly easy to not imply eugenics, so there's no reason to even meme about it.

"population control" implies exterminating people or preventing certain people from having babies.

I share your dislike of Trump, but you need to realize how gross and unacceptable this meme is.

I think it mostly just reveals how one-sided the "relationship" is. Trump has precisely zero influence over what Putin does. This is, of course, incredibly obvious to anyone who doesn't post super weird pictures of Trump as a mega-buff manly man.

They're about to get a massive tax break...

Democrats should be out every single day saying Congress can stop this immediately. Republicans in Congress need to own this even more than Trump.

Hmm, that sounds actually "pro life" and not just "pro birth." Wild stuff. Unfortunately, Elon and Bezos really really need tax cuts so the rest of us can't have nice things.

This person made a costly mistake. As in, I assume they spiked their controller and/or Switch as a result.

No rational person can argue this and everyone needs to just call it what it is. I don't care if the Supreme Court (which can clearly be bought and bribed) declares this legal, it's unethical and unacceptable.
And before you come at me with "well look at Congress." YES. Absolutely look at Congress

Obviously the GOP is to blame, but Fetterman also decided she wasn't a problem. Unsurprising at this point, but still incredibly disappointing.

This Supreme Court has made a lot of awful decisions, but legalizing bribery as long as there wasn't a paper trail might be the worst.

Lost in the vast amount of noise in this administration, wtf is this person doing as a high-ranking US attorney?

Hmm, I assume you mean the news that Yoshida likely can't throw this year? That is not great news.
comment in response to

Say it louder for the people in the back. This is the same as conflating opposition to the actions of the Israeli government with being antisemitic. The GOP are too dumb/don't care enough to consider nuance.

If I'm Yoshida, I'm taking 1B reps ASAP. I don't see how he plays otherwise once he gets healthy.
comment in response to

The DH argument was more about playing him at 3B over Bregman, but it's definitely an even worse idea to throw him into 1B where he has never played before. I'd love for him to volunteer to take 1B reps to try to help the team later in the season, but AC won't push him (which is the right call IMO).

The "shackles of capitalism" or whatever you're getting at are objectively not as bad as actually being in prison.
comment in response to

You jest, but if we needed more prisons (which we absolutely do not) abandoned malls or office parks would probably actually be a cost effective way to do it.

I solo travel for scuba diving and have much less of a problem chatting with people on the dive boat because I know they are obsessed with diving like me. I can always fall back to a million questions about diving I have genuine interest in talking about.
comment in response to

The way you described it initially is like an introvert meet-up, which sounds like the absolute worst. The advice of "go find people who do stuff you like", then that's much more reasonable and solves the "what do we talk about" question.

Yeah there’s really virtually nothing that humans or the universe could do to the Earth to make it less habitable than Mars is now.

I find Instagram really annoying and unpleasant. It seems to be geared toward the people I am least interested in on the internet. I experimented with a little boosting on there for my photography account and got virtually no traffic from it. And then somehow they made Threads worse, which is WILD.
