When in Montréal, try the rotisserie BBQ chicken. We’re partial to the Chalet BBQ. It was 2 blocks from our first apartment when we were married in 1977. Even though we were still students we still found room in our budget for a weekly chicken dinner. Simple but good times. 😊

If you are an active member of the national guard or the US military and are ordered to violate the constitutional rights of anyone on US soil, call the GI Rights Hotline. You swore an oath to support and defend the US constitution and do not have to follow unlawful orders.

Villains are not actually interesting. We think they are because interesting villains make for better stories.
But stories require suspension of disbelief.
Real villains are usually boring as hell, because they're basic as hell: selfishness and cruelty don't require depth.

When CA asks for federal help from Trump, it gets stiffed.
In this case, no help was asked. CA's 75,000 uniformed law enforcement personnel were equal to the scale of disruption.
Trump was testing powers for later, not responding to a threat now. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...
