I think it’d be good to be a political party that was associated with bin collection, libraries, bus services, hospitals and worker’s rights. Can we have one of those?

They did give away four-song compilation tapes as put together by each of the characters.

Twenty years ago, various members of a Luke Haines messageboard put together a short covers album of Auteurs songs. The version of Wedding Day was done in a breezy, C86-style and was brilliant. I've not heard it since. Have you any memory of this or any of the other songs?

There's definitely greater tonal uniformity amongst ads now with a lot of them being slightly chummy and patronising regardless of what's being advertised. 80s and 90s ads gave products much clearer identities.

New book in October as well. If you liked #DontStopTheMusic, this might be your kind of thing as well. It's about the 80s in music, but from a slightly different angle. #IntoTheGroove

Your regular reminder that, if you haven't seen Edwyn Collins' late-nineties sitcom about the music industry, you have missed out. #totp
