I’ve an award winning podcast about all that’s weird and a little off kilter in the town of Biggleswade and Bedfordshire. History with a pinch of the paranormal, folklore & urban legends. I also like cake, cats, beating bosses and disability rights.

One of the many things I love about Folkestone is to reach the beach, you have to walk a zig-zag path through what feels like the backdrop to an RPG. I expected a talking gull to appear and offer me a side quest. Your reward at the end, as well as mermaid beach, are pretty pastel beach huts.

So who would like some “Weird in the Wade - Beside the Seaside” episodes next year then???? I’d love to make some because part of my childhood was in Newquay Cornwall and I have good links to the Fife coast, and the south coast of England as well.

This Bedford cemetery looks well worth a visit. It is peak Bedfordshire though. The cousin of Alan Turing, is buried there but no one actually famous. There’s a great story about a dog! Events mark Bedford cemetery that is 'full of history'

The last rainy day we had (Thursday) I sheltered at the former haunted Poundstretcher now Jones’ cafe, with a pot of tea and Aggie for company. 👻😊 #cosy

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside…

Oh now I’m thinking of a Pan’s Labyrinth creature. #uncanny

Aww he’s adorable. #UncannyListenAlong #Uncanny

The Angel of Mons is a bit of folklore from WW1 claiming ghosts of English longbow men held off the opposing army while the men retreated. This was a fictional story published in a newspaper although many believed it. #folkyFriday

Dogs and next week CATacombs! 🙀#uncanny

Oh my god a dog man! #uncannysummerspecial

“A matted horrible dog” 😱 uncanny Nope from me.

I’m heading off to a writers retreat today on the south coast. I cannot wait. The seaside always calms and inspires me. Normal weird service will return next week.

Midsummer Uncanny is back! This first episode gave me chills and I can’t wait for part 2! Remember ghosts aren’t just for Halloween, midsummer is a thin time as well. Thank you #uncanny team!

I ran my first Biggleswade walking tour for Langford History Society last night and it went really well. My Weird in the Wade Ghosts and Ghouls tours start soon. The first is 2 weeks away you can sign up here: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/weird-in-t...

Well I wasn’t expecting to be described as a “top podcaster” nor to make it on to the front page of the paper edition of the Royston Crow!

Good morning! Here have some photos of a poppy by one of the treasure chests on the Kings Reach, Biggleswade.

Yes you asked and I'm delivering! There are two Weird in the Wade Ghost walks now available for you to book on to. Details are at the link. As these are my first two official walks you get a 50% discount if you use the promo code TeamWeird www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/weird-in-t...

Weird in the Wade is in the Royston Crow! Read about the latest episode here:

I was up early today and have been recording some lovely audio for the next episode of Weird in the Wade at Galley Hill on the RSPB reserve at Sandy.
