Yeah, just look at the sets used now vs back then. Back then, the full had full backgrounds and matte paintings. Now, only the objects in the foreground are real (if any at all) and the rest are just blue objects so the can easily put in digital backgrounds.

Because they sparingly used CGI. The vast majority of on screen dinos are real life animatronics, and when they did use CGI it was done with the utmost care, precision, and patience; not the dog water overnight sweatshop generated CGI we're plague with now.
