To all the trans men who need to hear it, it is totally okay to be a man. Testosterone does not make you evil. Transitioning doesn't make you a traitor to feminism. It's not internalized misogyny. Most men are good people, even if the bad ones get the most attention. You are good.

So...here's the thing. Being misgendered hurts. It hurts a lot. And it's pretty well known that we are hurt by being misgendered. And there is a very significant number of people who live solely for the idea of hurting people. So.. we become a big, easy target. They enjoy hurting us and live for it.

I had this just last night at the restaurant with my wife. We were in a small section with a lot of other people, and it was a struggle because every noise was equally loud. I had to close my eyes just to try to focus on her words alone. I can't imagine anyone hearing any other way.
