Ok, cool, but does this lead to regular citizens being denied the right to mask in public?

So the US will bomb those women until they're free? That doesn't make any sense.

Na, Israel is the real danger in that region. One of the worst rogue terror states in the world right now

Two? What's the other one? All I see in need of regime change is the US.

Wow! You're totally on board with terrorism? Let me guess blowing up children is "horrifying" but it's the best outcome? Fix your heart

I've been wondering how much the crack downs on students last spring and summer laid the ground work for the current administrations turbo repression. I feel like this has contributed to some of the silence we're witnessing here. Maybe I'm just following the wrong people? I do agree with you though

The veneer of appearing progressive in a way that feels comfy to people that are toward the upper end of the middle class that don't want to actually do some serious introspection into their privilege?

I wish it were as simple as that. Unfortunately there's still a very long way to go.

What those signs really mean is big developers who want to make Pittsburgh unaffordable for poor/working class folks are welcome here. Or more specifically their money is welcome. I suspect all those people replaced their black lives matter signs with that garbage. 2020 scared the shit outta them.

The limit should be ZERO! People need shelter and despise what US law believes, corporations are not people. Hence ZERO! And to be clear this should not just be single family housing and one last time for the people in the back, ZERO!

Oh my comrade in chaos you're almost there

Answer this, do you think your cop family members would actively stop an ICE kidnapping? And be honest because I personally haven't heard one single story of local PDs actively stopping one of these illegal kidnappings and I think that would make the news.

They do something new or is this just a general statement?

The way things are going, passports are a luxury for most people. $180+ isn't something a lot of people can easily manage. And though it's less expensive, getting the real ID Is looking like about $70. These are things that should be free to folks living in PA and the US.

Lol. Keep on voting blue no matter who. Oh and don't forget to thank team blue for setting up ICE to kidnap people off the streets or how well your team demonized and called students terrorists who are now being deported. And for what? They are opposed to genocide? Dems ain't going to save us.

The representation you speak of is performative. Explain Biden taking the very reasonable defund the police demand from a marginalized group you're saying team blue represents. What did he do? He went on to increase police funding. Now the same police forces are being weaponized against us even more

I'm so over the myth that a lot of team red are "good folks". They ARE an authoritarian party PERIOD!

Like I said I agree let the libs get arrested. Winwin situation

I agree. Let the mainstream liberals catch charges and maybe get a little taste of team blue's fund the police agenda 👍

Always working on getting people more information about community resources and I might know of some that aren't on Pitt Street Meds radar. DM me if you're ever interested in having a more in depth conversation on the topic.

What do medical librians do? I'm interested. I know some people that occasionally go out with the street med team.

What? Oh come on lol. I wouldn't be surprised if they're trying to deploy bad faith identity politics to defend that person. Didn't another one of their club members repost something glorifying Jordan Neely's murder?

Oh I know lol. One of their ebike enthusiasts has blocked me on multiple platforms. That group should really consider a touching grass intervention for some of their more "enthusiastic" posters. Correct me if I'm wrong but there's still no apology for doxing someone.

Yeah they can talk about their ebikes and riding a bus and trying to seem "progressive" all they want but ultimately they're siding with forces that only care about profits and the commodification of something that is a human right.
comment in response to

Yeah, "nice to have" is pretty tone deaf.

Well managed and maintained publicly owned housing is an even better option.

100% that group gets my blood pressure up. They're so fucking fake.
comment in response to

It's trickle down garbage. Their idea that they're more deserving of these fancy new buildings and us poors can have their crappy old apartments is gross. These people are not "progressive" and they all have a lot of shit they need to unpack or unlearn within themselves.
comment in response to

So here's my problem with Pro-Gentrifiers Pgh, maybe they'll say some throw away comments about public housing but they spend the majority of their time lobbying for private developers. What if they instead spent that time advocating for public housing? Imo they aren't fighting for the working class
comment in response to
post
Gen-X and the Boomers just can't seem to figure that one out. I'd flip the question back on them. Where were y'all last spring and summer?
comment in response to
post
Why are you going so hard for developers? Seems like advocating for socialized housing programs would be a better use of people's time. Do you know the percentage of publicly owned housing that has been eliminated in Pittsburgh? Look that figure up.
comment in response to
post
So didn't go to the housing justice summit? I would have figured the Pro-Housing group would have been interested in attending a conference with most of the other groups advocating for housing justice.

Occasionally I watch British Masons tuck pointing on YouTube. Fascinating stuff. I've always wondered if I'd be any good at that. I don't personally know if that is done anywhere in the US.
