I've been hitting the "show me less of this" option on any and every political post. It's a cleansing feeling.

Also, if you're out of brown sugar, add the right amount of molasses to white sugar and you'll be right. Molasses or treacle is made during the processing of sugar into white sugar. Less for light brown , add to caster sugar for golden caster sugar etc.

I've been cutting grass and hedges in the rain all week so a trip to the allotment in a light drizzle was almost a pleasure today. Beer opened now though.

I'm that sad person who bought wild flower plugs two years ago, including clover. To be honest my garden is a riot this time of year though. Ox-eye daisy just going over, vipers bugloss about to flower and clover getting massive. Couldn't cut that back because of the calendar!

It's grass clippings, they are a mulch after watering and help retain moisture. I've done it in the past successfully. It tends to dry rather than go gooey and there are no seeds in the grass.

I grew up seeing it hanging off roofs and poking out of walls, seemingly impossible to destroy, so finding it a valued garden plant was a suprise,as an adult.

Love our old Campanula too. It's been actively neglected for years and comes back storming every year.

In the end it's one vegan cake, one gluten free and cupcakes for the others.

One will be a 'normal' cake. One will be a vegan cake. Third will be a homemade gluten free cake, possibly a chocolate one. We bought gluten free self raising flour to make it, and did a test run lemon sponge.
Yes, it was lush.

But, we have cake considerations. Youngest son is vegan, oldest son is veggie. Daughter has lactose intolerance. Now it turns out youngest grandson has wheat and soy intolerance. So we will have three cakes. 2/

Light soy, garam Masala and sesame oil. Started off softening red onions in sesame oil, added Pak Choi and mange tout, baby sweet corn and chopped spring onions, softened them. Added two crushed garlic cloves, sesame oil and garam Masala. Udon noodles, stirred in lazy ginger just before serving.

Thanks it was. That's a keeper for the future. Simple too.
