Basically a cycling crazy guy that is not very much like a cycling crazy guy. Riding, rebuilding, tweaking nineties mtb’s on low/no budget and having a blast! Whatever works, whatever is available, whatever is fun 🙃 #CyclingBluesky

Finally got to use this star nut insertion tool. Cheap little thing from AliExpress, but works great and more than good enough for the sporadic moments that I need it. #CyclingBluesky

Finally got rid of that ugly, heavy, useless suspension fork on my friend's Cannondale city beater. Looks better, steers more precise, and saves 700gr in one fell swoop. #CyclingBluesky

Do you still patch your tires? Or am I the last one standing…? 🤓 #CyclingBluesky

E-bikes and E-cargo bikes are rapidly going the way of cars. Bigger, heavier, more complicated, shorter lifespan, requiring professional maintenance, and being less and less attainable for the masses.

The SRAM ESP 1:1 shifting on my winter bike is so rock solid that I was happy to see that my latest classifieds find had SRAM derailleurs and shifters. I expected the same flawless operation, but it was totally crap, actually. Can you spot the culprit? #CyclingBluesky youtube.com/shorts/J63oc...

So stoked with my classifieds find! Carbon tubes bonded to aluminium lugs, lightweight, nice parts, in good condition, and all for €25! Can’t wait to give this one new life! #CyclingBluesky #Bikesky

This 2004 postcard resurfaced today. My parents were going on a once in a lifetime, big trip to the USA. When I heard they would also be crossing Utah, I told them how jealous I was… The Slick Rock Trail in Moab was totally iconic for me. They sent this to tease me 😛 #CyclingBluesky #Bikesky

I bought this can of grease 35 years ago. The Fiat grease was supposedly the exact same grease as that what was sold by Campagnolo in expensive little tubes. Don't know if it's true, but it has served me and my bikes well all that time. I put the remnants in a small container today. End of an era.

Exploring the local gravel roads - or actually any single or double trail, forrest or farmer's road, twisty bike lane that we could string together for a nice morning ride. Good times! #CyclingBluesky #Bikesky youtu.be/E26h64uHFMw
