Basically a cycling crazy guy that is not very much like a cycling crazy guy. Riding, rebuilding, tweaking nineties mtb’s on low/no budget and having a blast! Whatever works, whatever is available, whatever is fun 🙃 #CyclingBluesky

If a company can only exist when they pay their personnel a wage that isn't enough to live a financially healthy life, than it just isn't a viable company.

Haha, I can relate 😛

Same here! Hardly ever get a puncture, so I do it maybe once a year.

Every time I see one of these, I wonder why on earth no journalist/interviewer ever throws any of these at his feet. Let him mumble himself out of it. Confront that hypocrite, opportunistic *sshole!

And lastly, if you had actually bothered to read my posts, you would have seen that the vast majority is about riding and rebuilding 90s mtbs. That's my shtick. Only occasionally do I say something about ebikes.

Except that it wasn't about US prices 🤷‍♂️ You are putting words in my mouth and then berate me for those words. That's pretty silly and, honestly, a bit nasty. Also, it wasn't bullshit at all. Are you saying these bike aren't getting heavier? Or more complicated? Because they verifiably are. →

Oh, and not everything is about the US. YOU are making this about US prices, I didn’t. Worldwide the prices are rising. No idea btw what you are trying to say with the C point.

the numbers are, as I stated, verifiable. Look at Tern’s prices compared to the previous model year. Look at the prices from any reputable brand. Also, I didn’t just talk about the prices, but mentioned other things too, that you conveniently left out.

I literally started my comment with ‘E-bikes and E-cargo bikes are…’. That’s a statement about those bikes *in general*. How you read that as ‘an anecdote’ about that specific bike is beyond me. Anyway, aside from my own anecdotal experiences while working at a big bike shop,→

Literally everything I said is verifiably true, whereas your one word reply is nothing more than you blurting out a word because you don’t like the facts. But hey, feel free to prove anything of what I said wrong with arguments, facts, sources or anything else that makes it credible.

Agreed. We do longer rides too (and shorter, sometimes), and I like those, but that's more for the challenge or for the adventure, and because it's just cool to spend time with friends, like on a century ride, a bikepacking trip or a camping weekend. But for the ride itself, 2 hours is sufficient.

Yeah. Two grown men, impeded mobility, heavy camera equipment being swung around…

It’s not ‘more grip’, it’s lower speed, lower weight, narrower tires that cut through the water instead of aquaplaning, skilled steering, shifting centre of gravity inwards and lower to the ground etc.

Wow, haha. Give that man a raise!

Het is niet 'gewoon', en die perskaart is ook niet 'een beetje' vreemd.

I know, right!? Not the same yellow, but I get the same vibe from it. Very nice. Too many black and dull colored bikes nowadays!

Love the colors of your bike! Reminds me of this 90s Alpinestars mtb I saw this weekend at a retro swap meet:

Only prohibited for sad kids on balance bikes. Never seen one of those anyway.

Ah!, That was't apparent. I think it would be good to point that out, because many people who are on the fence about such new infrastructure (or who are blatantly against it) could well be put off by it, and judge on it more negatively than necessary.

As a Dutch guy, I can't say this looks familiar… Sure there's elements of what we do, but I've never seen a sea of bollards here like in that picture. You hardly see any bollards at all here.

That name is indeed less cool. Why would that be a good thing?

Sorry, but literally everyone with a brain saw this coming.

That’s pretty tasteless. Unfollow.

Gotta say, I am a bit disapoofed with the result.

Hahaha. Recognisable 😛

Whoah, that front basket is wild!

Haha, love the second one for its quirkiness, but really dig the first on for practical use. That sturdy frame mounted rack is awesome.

Hey! This is the very first post where you dropped the silly 'YOU RIDE N EBIKE!!1!' bit. Very good. Making progress! By the way, show me where exactly I said I wanted to be congratulated. Bring it on.

I challenge you to find ONE, just one, post of me where I say anything positive about ebikes, or where you actually see me riding one. You can look on Instagram and Threads too, same user name. Go! Prove you are right about me!
