That journalist and I had a very good conversation about it and they even sent me a pdf of the article so maybe you need to not be so hair-trigger and listen to what’s being said.

Hey Matcha.
You clearly haven’t had a look at my feed nor understand the context of my post. You know nothing about me, mate.

Do you work really hard to demonstrate your wilful ignorance or is it an innate, natural skill?

Everything is a design tool! 😆

Of course that's a position to take. My point is this design used of bonding two very long trains in a very open, pedestrianised area, was weak. This came late in the deployment stage when they were previously going to deploy each train separately. Joining two came at a late stage. This was a hack

That might be helpful. whatever is in place now isn't working, clearly. The gap is arguably a huge arrow pointing to the lowest spot. I KNOW there's a "DANGER" sign there, but it's a hack, not a designed solution, because they would rather build highways than fund public infrastructure. #moredrivers

Don’t people understand this statement is an act of war? And congress wasn’t involved?

But if you want to write about ketchup,
It’s not a “tomato sauce”, nor a “red sauce”. It’s a condiment. it should be stored in a cool, dark place and not the fridge. Ketchup and not bbq “sauce” is the correct condiment for an Aussie meat pie.

Where exactly is the “convenience” part of this?

No “out of context” about it at all. The context is that when ICE agents don’t have to identify themselves, absolutely anyone can pretend to be ICE to terrorise anyone.
The message is crystal clear, written in neon and underlined twice.
Hint: it’s already happening and has been for weeks.

It’s embarrassing that the world has to discuss the bile that comes out of his mouth as if it were delivered by a sentient adult.

Whoah! Careful there. Ketchup?
But srsly, I’d be interested in where you see gaps in discourse. I see a lot of binary thinking - obviously social media creates that when one only has a paragraph to complete an idea. I think anything you write will be great if it recognises and explores the spectrum

I see journalism as a subset of media.

To be fair, this is the first time I heard the term “age assurance”. I don’t think that should really be a measure

Ok. Now you need to double it on July 4. Possible right?
Great start, keep momentum up.
The harder part is to get non-MAGA conservatives involved.
Get freethinking veterans.
Take back the chants of “USA! USA!” & “patriotism” from the tyrant-enablers.
Be smart. It may be your last chance.

It feels like hypocrisy was created and advanced in the USA, they’re so good at it.

Yet another reason to put distance between us and the USA.

Are you sure it was “journalism” and not “media” in general? I might be splitting hairs but not all publications are “journalism”, nor is film and photography and radio and entertainment.

I’m happy to pay a reasonable amount for a reasonable service.
$20/month with a 50% discount for annual seems fair for zero ads and full access to archives & extras.
Not a lot in Aus seems worth that much though. Guardian, Crikey, Saturday paper, the Monthly.
I also like the sound of ground.news

Seems like a good opportunity to try rebuilding the relationship with France that ScumMo scarpered. Maybe the Italian name helps? 😬
Australia very much needs to step back from USA while they continue this campaign of deportations, backing invaders, despots & letting s**ts like Bibi off the hook.

Not to mention it’s bullshit to use their arguments. That would fail a high school civics class but they still spout these lies.
That’s as bad as Fox News and those other moronic right wing news outlets that bury truth and honesty.
Democracy does indeed die in darkness. (I know that’s WaPo but…)

I don’t mean to call you out specifically.
It’s more a general riposte asking us all to take a closer look at facts, information, and details beyond what has been embedded in culture.
I thought it was him as well so I looked it up to get more info.
Isn’t the internet wonderful for that?

Wouldn’t it be great if everyone who attended a #noKings followed it up with a brief but clear letter to each of your state and federal members and senators.
This ends nothing without continued pressure.

You are not alone. Now you’ve seen so many people around you and near you that demonstrate there are many people who feel the same way you do.
I hope that is comforting.
