Jo - I can give you my grandmother. Born in 1928. Had 11 and only 4 survived. My mother survived scarlet fever. She was born in 1948, after 3 older ones passed…the youngest and last survived. An age gap of about 15 years.
That was the 60s, my uncle was a few years older than me & we got our vaxes.
