Poor Cinnamon....has very expressive ears and didn't give any indication she desired rescue from sconey treats.
Quite the reverse.

My daughter shared a flat with a Russian in New Zealand, about 15 years ago. Long before the war. Russian friends came over, she got an opportunity to get to know them.
She reported they were the dodgiest people in a long parade of very dodgy people. She had everything locked down.

My 2nd husband told me I wanted to believe the things he told me. He was right. I wanted to delude myself he loved me, when actually I was a mark.
This is flaw of human nature that the predators understand: the rich will make you feel like they are working for YOU while they're fckn you

The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth
This is the basis of our ENTIRE society.
Everything rests upon that, especially our courts which allows trade which allows wealth. Our peace between nations. Everything

Jesus was crucified for being nice to people....imagine what a fluffy cheese scone, dripping with butter and (my favourite) strawberry jam would do?

Is there a situation where the commander of the Matines refuses to obey an illegal order?
Why didn't it happen here?
Genuine question, can anyone answer?

The logical fallacy here: the straw man. This wasn't what was proposed
Firstly, IMHO, loving kindness is the only anti antidote to the gratuitous nature of Republican cruelty
The people who regret their vote don't think they "possibly made a little error voting for a fascist" FAR more complex

What I find hard to understand is why haters can say what they want, make up lies and just be generally hateful...but get away with it.
How is that?
Can someone explain, like I was born yesterday how this happens?

I had some birds nesting in my letterbox. I asked the postie not to put anything in the box until the birds were done raising their chicks.
Postie left everything on the ground in a little cardboard box I had put there for about 2 months.
Best thing I ever did

It's almost as if not ONE logical or ethical argument would make sense to a MAGA.

I want to say something profound, piercing and insightful
All I can do is hold my head in hands, in fear, for America and the collapse of the Western values
I know people cheering Trump
Perhaps there has never been Western values
I only know I hate liars and thieves with all the fire of my soul

Is this a legal order, do you think?
The military are not supposed to obey illegal orders

Doesn't have to be black, but it's a funereal colour. Appropriate for the death of free society and citizen-led democracy

A wall of silent people wearing black armbands/bandanas...imagine the photo opportunities
Imagine the publicity. Something different.
It would be quite intimidating to law enforcement as well. Try firing rubber bullets at people wearing clothes...

Everyone could be involved, It could be a black bandana, worn around your ankles, anything.
It could easily be a real movement because it's cheap and uncomplicated and if the message got out via, idk, bluesky....

I remember reading about a workers protest in Japan. The workers wore black armbands to remind the bosses about their "requests"
I thought that was pretty clever
Anyone can wear a black armband. It's visible to everyone, it's non violent, it's constant, it could be put around lamppost, anything

Let's see what happens in 6 months.
It will take that long before job losses and tarriffs bleed into the economy
The US economy has a lot of momentum but there comes a point when savings have been used and stuff sold or downgraded.
Houses will go on the market. Foreclosures.
It will get messy

It's a jango tower of rights, one at a time
They have it seen up, right and tight.
Total immunity for all official acts
The military will be purged if it doesn't agree
The police and National Guard the same
Supreme Court orders ignored
Congress could act but won't

When citizens die at the guns of Marines, America will be broken
Maybe it's up to the LA police to protect citizens from Marines
