Pol Pot would approve.

I apologise. It’s highly unfair to criticise someone on the grounds of something they’ve never said, done or advocated.

Timothy Snyder shares memes indicating that he’s an enthusiastic fascist puncher? OK. I hadn’t seen that. Now I understand a little better why you’d call him a coward.

Oh right. I’ve never formed the impression that ā€œliberalā€ is synonymous with ā€œfascist puncherā€.
comment in response to post
Cool. I don’t see what that has to do with cowardice.

If they believe they’re in danger, then flight is a rational response. Perhaps ā€œmisguidedā€ would have been a more apt term than ā€œgutless cowardsā€. In your analysis, surely your complaint is that they’ve overestimating the danger rather than displaying cowardice.

ā€œThey're (Snyder etc) gonna flee and leave their country to the fascists.ā€ - This seems like strong language if, as you now suggest, there isn’t any real danger to ā€œleave their country toā€. šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø

If the situation in the USA isn’t serious, I don’t see why you’d object to anyone leaving.

I remain grateful that my wife’s great grandfather was enough of a gutless coward to get his family out of Berlin before they call all be sent to the death camps.

The US looks so glamorous these days.

ā€œHer character is suspectā€ is a very nice way of saying she’s a selfish piece of shit. šŸ™‚

It’s cute that people imagine this isn’t going to end with death squads, disappearances, defenestrations etc. The check and balances are failing and will fail altogether very soon.

Robbie Savage is looking well.

Mars looks really boring.

Are voters still relevant? Your future elections in the US are going to be Putin-style sham affairs, aren’t they?
comment in response to post
That was one of the intended effects, presumably.

I don’t see that happening. America has surrendered. It’s done and dusted.

Can you image what Musk will do with all the money he is gong to make by looting the public purse in plain view?

I don’t think there are any unproblematic platforms. Bluesky is funded by libertarians with MAGA ties and sympathies. Perhaps they are harvesting everything said here to be used later for something that won’t be good.

Same!

I’m already thinking in those terms. There’s no ā€œstartā€ or ā€œalmostā€ about it.

It’s becoming ludicrous for European countries to think of the USA as an ally.

Replacing Warnock with Hughes was an act of pure folly.

It was. Given to us by our friends at a top manufacturer of cutting equipment for the food industry. Lovely with thin potatoes, garlic etc.

This is either from @vizcomic.bsky.social or @privateeyenews.bsky.social, right? Which?

As an outsider, my assumption is a sizeable contingent of Americans have somehow come to love (their) guns more than they love the idea of children being safe. They may like the second idea. But they like guns more, surely.

Director of Performance is a tough title to live with when the performances are abysmal!

Autumnal vibes and busyness. Oh, and giving the mini palm tree a severe pruning.

The form can’t be helping. I assume it’s pretty unwatchable.

That’s the hope. Let’s see if it works and how long it lasts. A bit slow for me thus far with only 2 followers. 😁

I am so pleased that our smallish cities here in Catalonia (Girona, Tarragona, Vic, Ripoll etc.) are not (yet?) being sterilised in this way.

I’m not missing the hard-right Spanish stuff I’d been getting lately at the other place.
