Omg it's happening, I'm drinking a coffee on my break and watching people cross the intersection for the first time and... I think... Yes! The city survived! Traffic is proceeding as normal! We won! It's a new Golden age!

It's good actually. And had to be done anyway because of repairs needed to the underground. We've known this since 2017 but Bowman kicked the can instead of actually doing his job.

Yeah well I want my own helicopter but that doesn't mean it's going to happen. There's no legal mechanism for Alberta to secede, it's not their land to claim.

You sound like a US Republican.

I figured you might be referring to the fact ICE just confirmed a Canadian National died in one of their concentration camps, but that just happened in case you hadn't heard.

I always meant to visit Chicago. Shame I didn't take the time before.

With what? Previous generations leaders selling our country out piece by piece has left our armed forces undermanned with obsolete equipment. We've only just started passing the legislation to rebuild it and Carney won't even tell us how he intends to pay for it all.

Anybody who talks about about "becoming a superpower" without taxing the hell out of the rich isn't being serious.

I used Blue Sky on my desktop for the first time the other day and it felt weird and familiar at the same time.

A tragic figure, not a sympathetic one. People must learn the difference.

If you use this stuff, I think you are stupid. If that offends you, it's your problem, dummy. Go cry to your chatbot.

We had to elect President Bloodfeast or it would have been a win for President Gutripper.

Dems are poison as a brand, the best thing they could do for any promising candidate with fresh ideas is keep their distance.

Despite your best efforts to get another old pervert elected, eh?

Wouldn't hate it at all if we just taxed the rich, but Carney won't do it. All this talk about becoming a superpower, well every country that's ever achieved that status did so by transferring wealth from the upper class, temporarily in post-ww2 USA, permanently in China and the Soviet Union.

I'm not saying he would have been good for the city but part of me wanted Ed Ackerman to win just to watch him try to shut down the Panama canal with all the authority of Mayor of Winnipeg behind him.

I expect it wouldn't be all that different from the average grocery store experience except less dread would fill me after they tally up all the purchases.

The Something Awful forums are still going and populated pretty much entirely by old head users selling refuge from the modern Internet.

Lol he still has a cartoon character perception of life where things like "what happens in Vegas stay in Vegas" is a real thing people say and not just a 2003 tourism slogan. Definitely not ready for marriage.

Alex Jones is defending everything this government is doing regularly on his show these days, drugs got nothing to do with it, he's always been a fascist fraud who projected his right wing fantasies onto the Democrats as a negative while supporting people who actually pushed those policies.

Agreed. I get called a communist and a parasite because I support the left of center party that has a couple of demsoc representatives in its ranks in my country. They want to get you to denounce communism and soften your support for leftist policy, don't fall for it.

If they're still taking money from the arms industry, and they are, it's not going to happen. Full stop.

Except they weren't because they were still allowing regular inspections and every intelligence agency was in agreement that they were not developing nukes. Might be now though, and I wouldn't blame them.

The Canadian government supported Israel's strikes on Iran and spread Bibi's lie that they were the aggressors alongside the US and European leaders.
