We need to return to FDR-era progressive tactics, this is fantastic.

Bernie, because he would resign immediately or die while in office, and his VP pick would be better than Boebert or anyone she chooses. Bernie doesn't have an ego like Biden's or Trump's

We're not talking term limits, we're talking hard age cutoffs regardless of how much or little political influence you've already had. And we agree young people should have more of a say than the elderly because the elderly will be dead before they have to deal with the consequences of new policies

You've posted dumber today already

Why? Voting should be reserved for the people with a stake in the game for the long run, not those who are incentivized to prioritize short-term comfort for long-term stability. If you're retired, you're not an active player anymore. The people who live with the consequences should decide.

You should talk to a lawyer about your options for a lawsuit against Qantas. There's no way they were allowed to keep your phone from you for the duration of the return flight

67 is too old. You shouldn't be allowed to vote if you are collecting Social Security retirement benefits, and you shouldn't be allowed to hold public office if you can't vote.

That's what our flag represented originally, there's no reason not to

Shut the senate down until the house can bring articles of impeachment against Kristi Noem.

If you're being earnest here, I appreciate it. But I get the feeling you're being sarcastic, and I'm not interested in engaging with people who have a middle school cafeteria idea of what makes you look confident in your beliefs. Stay on topic if you think I'm wrong, leave if you don't.

If your concern about his position on Crypto is that it will destroy the economic floor we're standing on, you're in for a rude awakening when widespread state violence crashes the traditional markets before crypto can have a chance

Derailing a discussion about the good things done for a more important cause to criticize something much less significant and IRRELEVANT is actively destructive rhetoric.

It's ad hominem to argue your point based on my character rather than the merits of your argument. It's a demonstration of your lack of understanding to not google that definition, and of understanding to imply that our financial system is as important as state violence against civilians.

Garlic Naan usually contains a lot of fats and carbs, a combination which is designed to be delicious, improving mood. Garlic itself has been linked to numerous health benefits, including by reducing the effects of stress with its high antioxidant content Garlic naan empirically has healing powers

My argument is that people being attacked by the police and military matter more than gullible fools getting scammed out of their money by buying speculative assets.
comment in response to post
You only think these things are more important because you lack perspective and possibly understanding Ad hominem arguments are pointless

I'm begging the dems to understand the value of the symbolic victory/ making your enemy do the obviously bad/corrupt thing publicly

Thank you for correctly assigning priority to issues instead of treating them all as equally important and worthy of discussion at any moment.

This, plus the braindead decision to make Microsoft Copilot installed by default on all windows devices, is what prompted me to finally switch to NixOS. The learning curve is steep but rewarding so far

Many people are saying, and I don't know if it's true or not but it's what they're syaing, and it's a lot of people who are saying on June 20th there will be an amazing new episode of ill conceived, and every Friday after that will have another amazing new episode too, folks

How. HOW is your campaign branding so good?? Your platform alone would be enough to earn my vote (if I lived in NYC and not halfway across the country). Your charisma and passion are enough to make me hopeful that you'll make waves. But your ADS are BEAUTIFUL. You have a talented team, Mr Mamdani.

"If a rubber bullet is shot at the ground first (or is “skip-fired”), there’s no predicting where it might end up. If you’re in close range you might still get hit hard in a vulnerable place." Rubber bullets are never safe, but skip-firing is less safe than aiming low directly at the target.

We need a Butlerian Jihad. The "saved" time afforded by LLMs on tasks of beginner or intermediate difficulty are borrowed with crushing interest from when you need the experience and familiarity of how to complete those tasks, or even just the muscle memory of completing them, for anything truly new

Not unclear. Dependent. Dependent on how much we let them get away with, how indoctrinated the population is, and how stupidly the regime plays their cards. Predictions come with paths to outcomes, and we can influence which path we take. Inaction leads to a lot more bad paths than organization

We're facing a Tarkin administration, not a Thrawn one. This battle can be won.
comment in response to post
The name switch hits on another point of credibility to his argument and hope that this battle can be won. Thrawn humanized his opponents, never underestimated them, and was stronger for it. Tarkin believed that fear would be enough to make everyone fall in line, and that was his undoing.
comment in response to post
The tarkin comparison, made here in error, is actually a really apt comparison for what we're up against. The belief that a strong enough violent threat will keep the undesirables in line is exactly Tarkin's whole deal, as well as the Trump Admin's
comment in response to post
Falsely proclaiming certainty that we know where this leads downplays all the work done by sociologists, historians, and political scientists to get a pretty good confidence estimation of what the future we're en route to may have in store
